Coming soon! 🎬 - 85 years since the Evacuation of Dunkirk After an incredible festival run, I decided to go back to Operation Dynamo with fresh eyes, expanding on the post-war part of the story by filming an additional 10 minutes of new footage. As years have passed since we shot the original film, it gave us all even more understanding for just how much of people’s lives were stolen by the war. It also gave me the chance to bring in Violet, Jack’s wife - (played by the utterly incredible Phoebe Shepherd) - who was an integral part of the story, but who I never had the time and budget to include before. There’s also a new colour grade and sound mix, as well as an expanded aspect ratio for added immersion, and to better showcase the beautiful landscapes and locations. Thanks once again to everyone who made this happen 🙏 @editor_of_a_ceo @georgebrowlands @nicofyea @p__shep @olavo.abrantes @savannah.blum @_hr97x @louise_020202 @eleanor.k.dolan @champagnepapi.mp3 @tom.marchant_ @george_t.e_davies @wsfleming_ @m_biianchii Kit supplied by @fomo_rentals as always 👍 by @elliemhague
It was pretty daunting directing a Game of Thrones actor…⚔️ ‘IF’ is my latest short film - based on my experience of grief - and I’d love to share it with you, comment ‘WATCH’ and the link will be sent to your inbox automatically 👍 Working with a legend like Clive, and having an incredible crew backing me up - ‘directing’ basically just meant giving everyone the space and freedom to do their amazing work. Thankfully I also waited until the end of the shoot to show Clive his name at the top of my ‘dream actors I’d love to work with’ list - and luckily didn’t scare him off. It was amazing checking off one of my dream castings, can’t wait to see who’ll be next!
