Needle Points to North takes ancient
folk narrative and uses it as a vehicle to critically engage with contemporary issues such as feminism and considering a women’s place. By reframing a tale about rebirth and fertility to bring women to the centre of the story and researching traditional methods of craft, local to the area, Needle Points to North reimagines a medieval tale.
