Meine Depression

.. Ist wie ein tiefes dunkles Loch, in das ich immer wieder falle.
In dem es ewig dauert, bis ich mich erholt & genug Kraft gesammelt habe, um langsam wieder nach oben in Richtung Licht zu klettern.

... Ist wie ein wilder Hund, der mich ein Leben lang begleiten wird, den ich oft auch für längere Zeit im Griff habe.. Er aber doch hin und wieder ausreißt.
Den ich mühsam trainieren muss, damit er auf mich hört & wieder zum Begleiter wird und nicht zum Führer.

... Ist wie eine schwarze dunkle Seite von mir, die jegliche Hoffnung für sich und alles andere verliert.

... Ist wie ein zickiger Teenager, dem man es eh nicht recht machen kann und der an allem etwas auszusetzen hat.

..Ist wie der schwarze Schwan, der meinen weißen Schwan unterdrücken will und ihm die Federn stutzt.

.. Ist wie mein größter Feind, der mich am Boden und allein sehen will.

... Ist wie ein Dieb, der mir alle meine Fähigkeiten und Charaktereigenschaften stiehlt. Damit ich nichts mehr habe, worauf ich zurückgreifen kann.

... Ist wie eine plötzliche Sprachlosigkeit, die mich verstummen lässt und mir meine Stimme raubt.

.. Ist wie ich, aber doch eine komplett andere Person, ein Teil von mir, mit dem ich leben muss, aber auch Leben lernen kann.

Vielleicht versuche ich dieses Loch in mir, dieses fehlende Urvertrauen und die fehlende Liebe für mich selbst, damit zu füllen, dass ich andere Menschen liebe, ihnen gebe, was ich mir selbst nicht geben kann.
Mich in ihnen verliere, weil ich mich selbst verloren hab.
Mich selbst zu hassen scheint die Grundlage meines Handelns zu sein und doch auch die Quelle einer unbändigen Empathie für das Leid, welches mich umgibt.

Maybe I'll try to fill this hole in me, this lack of basic trust and love for myself,
by loving other people
& giving them what I can't give myself. Losing myself in them because I lost myself.
Hating myself seems to be the basis of my actions and yet also the source of an irrepressible empathy for the suffering that surrounds me.
