I have been so afraid to try this for a long time. Wondering if I'm strong enough or overcalculating the risks from landing with all my weight onto the end of a 25mm staff. But finally beginning to soothe that fear and start chasing the long list of amazing movements that I look forward to achieving has stoked the fire in me 😊

Is he back?! My annual 1 post a year is here! 😉😅 This year has been a bit of a whirlwind and I've been quiet on here for many reasons. But I felt inspired to share a little bit of this recent show.

These are few of my favourite sequences from a new LED act that I hurriedly put together for @up_chuckles birthday, hosted at the wonderful @yardartsbristol 🖤

I've been working on some new things and this is just a sneaky view of what I've made so far! Really excited to explore the potential of this suit when I've finished making the rest. For now. I will treat this as a solid proof of concept ✨ by @elliotcircusarts

✨ MEET the next RaRe GliTTeR FREAk - ELLIOT

Okay… apparently we pulled another rare glitter creature out of the international circus universe. ✨

And honestly, we feel ridiculously lucky to have Elliot joining the very first FREAK FABRIK.

For more than 15 years, he has been blending object manipulation, acrobatics and ninja-like movement into a style that is fast, precise and instantly recognizable — inspiring plenty of fellow flow artists along the way.

From fire to LED staff, contact staff, poi and Cyr wheel, Elliot turns props into extensions of the body and creates performances where movement, technology and light become one.

Over the years, he has brought this style into major productions across the UK and around the world — and now somehow he’s bringing it to us.

Seriously… what the freak is going on? ❤️‍🔥

Sunrise Crew burn @ejc26ptuj was a special moment for us. The amount of work, care, love and dedication this crew put in meant that this was the first moment we all truly could just play together. I love this crazy bunch, thank you. Thank you Ptuj for putting up with us. And thank you those, that appreciated the space and the work we did, you make us keep going and make us better and better! 🔥🤟❤️🤟🔥

Workshop Title: Introduction to Partner Poi by @gaiaward @elliotcircusarts

📅 1:30 PM - 2:45 PM Friday 19th September 2025

📍Earth Element Area

⌚️ 60 minutes

👥 Instructors: Gaia Ward & Elliot Walton from Kinesis Circus

In this workshop, Gaia and Elliot will guide you through a foundational weave sequence that has been central to their partner poi journey. Using just one poi each, you’ll unlock up to 16 different orientations of the basic weave by swapping hands and changing direction.

This versatile sequence is incredibly useful for building smooth transitions, linking tricks, and creating beautiful, flowing patterns with a partner.

Bring a partner if you want, but it’s not necessary to join the workshop. ♡

Level: Normal

Capacity: Max 20 participants

Props: Some poi provided, but participants are strongly recommended to bring their own.
