" For Santa Claus and Little Sisters"

'Once ... he wrote a poem.

And called it "Chops",

Because it was the name of his dog, and that's what it was all about.

And the teacher gave him an "A"

And a gold star,

And his mother hung it on the kitchen door, and read it to all his aunts ...

Once ... he wrote another poem.

And he called it "Question Marked Innocence".

Because that was the name of his grief and that's what it was all about.

And the professor gave him an "A"

And a strange and steady look.

And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door,

Because he never let her see it ...

Once, at 3 a.m. ... he tried another poem ...

And he called it absolutely nothing, because that's what it was all about.

And he gave himself an "A"

And a slash on each damp wrist,

And hung it on the bathroom door because he couldn't reach the kitchen.'

Thank you for choosing life when the idea of living seemed impossible.

A love letter to swim.

This was one of the hardest hello and goodbyes of my entire senior year, and if I could go back and do it all again, every hard practice, and bad meet I would do it in a heartbeat. Time is a thief and I wish I could make it slow down or revert itself, even more so I wish there was more time. These past 5 years have felt so quick and I'm full of regret that I never started sooner, but y'know, better late than never! My story is far from over, but closing this chapter has been the most difficult thing I've done.

anyways, thanks to everyone who ever believed in me, coaches, friends, and family. You mean the world to me! And to my teammates and best friends, you are amazing people who will do beautiful things in life, I'm so proud of each and every one of you.

To my group of girls, you guys are some of the best people in my life 💕 I couldn't have made it as far as I did without the support I had from ya'll. And Kiyah, fear not! We will be back, we love you bunches and can't wait to watch you swim next year. taken in Sometime, Somewhere. by @elliotmadison_
