ITS RELEASE DAY!!! I am still in awe that I was able to read this fantastic book as an arc. I am still completely speechless at how amazing this book was 💜🪽 review: This book is everything.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to B.K Borison, Harper Colins and Netgalley for gifting me an ARC copy of this book. This has been one of my most anticipated reads since there were just whispers about it around the time of Good Spirits. I have been (not so) patiently waiting and to get an ARC was absolutely a dream that I did not think would happen.

I love B.K Borison’s writing but apparently I was unfamiliar with her game because this book BLEW it out of the water. It was fantastic. My kindle is TIRED from all the highlights. My heart is full from such a great book.

From the very first moment I loved Darcy. I was her number one cheerleader as she navigated being a Grim Reaper and what that meant. Gabriel took a bit of convincing for me because I wanted to protect Darcy from his jabs...he loves everyone but her. Don’t get me wrong, this is great trope and I was ready/excited for it - what I did not anticipate though was to love Darcy sooo much. However, just as Gabriel started to see who Darcy (outside of her title of Grim Reaper), I started to see Gabriel and all the things he carries. I started to see why his actions are the way they are. I started to see the cracks in his demeanour and the kindness that peaked through. It was the most perfect little rollacoaster of emotions - what do you mean I love the guy who was but chapters ago my enemy?! Well played. As the story progressed, I fell deeper (sooo deep) in love with their romance and the side characters. Tater-tot, the beautiful German Shepard who is always along for the ride, tongue out and fiercely loyal. Frank, a shirley temple loving old man. Aelia, a feisty immortal locked in the body of a child - the icon you are. I love them all.

It has been a LONG time since I have been up at 2am sobbing because I love a book so much and that is exactly what happened with Grim Tidings. B.K, that was rude but I shall forgive you. You need to read this book. taken in Canada by @elllie_ann

The leaves are changing and the breeze is crisp!! It’s finally starting to feel like fall and I’m so happy about it. I’ve gathered some amazing fall contemporary(ish) romance books (many of them all time favourites) and I hope you love them 🍂🧡🍁 As for a little life update: I’ve been deep in my uni masters pit trying to claw myself out from all the work that is due. I’m loving the program but also being violently humbled. This level of destruction has hurled me into a Throne of Glass reread and I just finished Kingdom of Ash today. Needless to say, an sjm series never hits harder than when the world is beating you with a stick. A Kath Richards reread is also perfect to drag me up into the light so I may find myself back with my favourite books again too (fangs needs to be reread - it’s just so good. taken in Canada by @elllie_ann
