‘HIDDEN’ | A Mental Health Story

The loudest struggles are often the most silent. ‘HIDDEN’ explores the weight of suppressed emotions, the smiles we fake, and the moments we break when no one’s watching. This Short film highlights one of the many situations men find themselves struggling in silence - choosing not to speak up, even when surrounded by those who mean the most to them. We all know suicide is one of the leading causes of death for men, and that’s something that simply has to change. It starts by checking in on your mates and encouraging open conversations. Vulnerability is powerful & infectious and it shows others that’s okay not to be okay. We are all in this together ❤️‍🩹

HIDDEN | A Mental Health Story is out now on YouTube! Link in bio + story.

I’m so excited that this is finally out! I wanted to create something that highlights men’s mental health and the silent struggles many of us face daily. One of the hardest parts is putting on a mask and pretending everything’s okay when it’s not — with nearly 1 in 4 men experiencing mental health issues but only 1 in 10 seeking help. That’s something that really needs to change.

The most rewarding part of making this film has been hearing everyone’s personal experiences with mental health and seeing how they’ve contributed a piece of themselves into this project.

I’m incredibly proud of how this film turned out. My goal was to capture something real and raw, and I truly believe we’ve achieved that with the immersive sounds created by @fin_draper, the amazing performance by our lead @finnsamuelss , and the incredible hard work of the entire team.
