Happy belated National Daughter’s Day… I truly don’t even know where to start. I guess I can start with...I am incredibly proud of you. The person you are becoming is already so much better than me in so many ways, and as a parent, that’s exactly what you want. You want your children to take the best parts of you, learn from the worst parts, and become something even greater. One of the greatest compliments anyone can give me is when they tell me that if their daughters grow up to be anything like mine, they’d consider themselves lucky. Think about that. Someone looks at you and thinks, That’s the kind of woman I hope my daughter becomes. Strong. Independent. Respectable, Self-sufficient. You handle your business, go to work, take care of what needs to be taken care of, and you do it while being beautiful, strong-minded, charismatic, and completely your own person. I know the journey here wasn’t always easy. But castles are always surrounded by dragons. You have to fight the dragons to get to the castle, and I’ve watched you fight yours and continue moving forward. I’m proud of the little girl I raised, but I’m even more proud of the woman I get to watch you become. Happy National Daughter’s Day. I love you. Happy Birthday to my papito! 💙
Here you are, my love, laying on Daddy last night, as you do every night, right before I read you a book and you fall asleep. Your safe place, your most comfortable spot, with your self-proclaimed best friend (sorry, Mommy 😂). There is no greater compliment to me than when someone says, “When my child grows up, I hope they’re like your kid.” It happens with your sister, and I already see those same foundational things in you. Your mannerisms, your creativity, and the way your brain analyzes things are already quite impressive. I know you won’t understand this yet, but one day you will, and you’ll know how proud I am to be your father, your teacher, and anything else you need me to be. You make me want to be better every day.

In life most of us aren't lucky enough to meet and thank those from our past who hunted, sacrificed, faced nightmarish scenarios and fought to survive to carve their own paths so that we could be here today. I was lucky enough to reciprocate the unconditional love and care you gave to me. I was able to thank you endlessly for choosing me over yourself in a million different ways. You watched me grow in to the fucking animal that I am 🦍.You watched accomplish anything and everything, you watched me fail and keep going, you watched me be and amazing Father. You watched me literally pick you up from the bed and carry you outside to the car for your appointment because you couldn't walk anymore. You wiped my tears as a baby and I wiped yours as an adult. Sometimes I get sad, but mostly I am so grateful for every moment. I literally thank God before bed every night for the time that I had with you. Keep protecting me from things that I can't see. Happy birthday to the love of my life, my partner in crime, my best friend, my beauty queen. Always together, always written, always destined. We didn’t know it back then, but our connection makes everything make sense now. I couldn’t have wished for a better mother to our children. Thank you for everything, my beautiful. There's no one I'd rather do life with. I am honestly blessed and grateful to know that I found my person. We cry together, we laugh together, we build together, we cook together, most importantly we truly just love being...together. The calm to my storm (I'm yappin') May God continue to bless us. I would like to say happy mother's day to my Mother and also thank you to her, for my Father. Father this post is for you. I didn't add any pictures because I know you don't like that haha. Thank you for being a great example, Thank you for making me the stoic disciplined man that I am. Thank you for helping me try to forget and bandaid the hole that my Mother left. We've gotten so much closer and I am grateful for our relationship. I write this as I sit in a beach side resort thanks to you. Thank you for being a great Father.
