Something is brewing...

I'm working on finding a balance between the horror imagery I so love and the serene beauty of nature...

The journey begins! Or rather, it continues after a longterm hiatus lol 🎨

First art exhibition down! ✏️🌺

I would like to send thanks to everyone that came out to support me last week, I truly appreciate it. And to all the new artists I've met, I look forward to participating in future exhibitions with you all!

A huge thank you goes out to @daguilarartfoundation for allowing me to participate and for curating such an extraordinary exhibition! I'll forever be grateful to have displayed artwork at your foundation.

If you haven't already, you have until October 20th to check out this stellar show at The D'Aguilar Art Foundation ( @daguilarartfoundation ).

Psst, do take a photo next to my piece and tag me when you go 😉

Your support is always appreciated!

"Battling Perfectionism" 16x20
Charcoal on canvas

I recently entered this piece in an Open Call this year and unfortunately did not place, but the feedback I received despite was greatly appreciated.

The theme of my piece is one that many artists, including myself, battle with on a daily basis: the concept of perfection.

I chose to use myself as the subject matter to subconsciously convince/prove to myself that despite having incomplete portions as a part of my final piece and myself, it and I, can still be seen and appreciated as a complete work of art.

My medium of choice was charcoal, one that I haven't used often, as a challenge to try something new. I also limitied the amount of adjusting and erasing made to my piece.

I hope you all appreciate it.
