Hey friends!! 🤍

I've been pretty MIA on here lately. I took a much needed break, found my flow again, and honestly I couldn't be happier.

I thought I'd show you what I've been up to in my little corner of the world.

Lately I've been flat out studying Graphic Design & Digital Media, so assessments have pretty much taken over my social life for a bit. But behind the scenes I've been a busy little bee.

I completely redid my sewing studio into a space that actually makes me want to sew again. I painted the walls, hung up art, made a little area for painting and messy projects, and just made it feel like me again.

I also set up a little design studio in my freshly renovated sleepout, and the last photo where I sit and wriote my poetry book over the past 2.5 years.

I've got so many projects on the go at the moment, and moving everything around has taken way longer than I thought, but I finally have something exciting to share.

I'm working on a new website called
The Things I Made Instead.

I called it that because over the last few years, whenever life got heavy, I made something instead. Sometimes it was poetry, sometimes a drawing, sometimes a painting, a garment, or a design. Whatever I was feeling that day, creating became the way I got through it.

It probably looked like I'd gone super quiet, but behind the scenes I've poured my heart into all of it.

The Things I Made Instead is going to be a place where you can find everything I create in one home... fashion, art, prints, my poetry book, zines, commissions, and whatever else I dream up along the way.

I honestly can't wait until it's ready.

Back on my sewing buzz✨️🌸🎨

These dungarees have been on quite a journey so far. I made them in black linen fabric, bleach dyed them, sprayed pink fabric paint on in random patches then hand-drew the big flowers with screen print dye & lastly screenprinted my hand-drawn daisies on. Took two weeks to make these 🤯

Seeing as I'm busy with so many things atm I'm spending more time on each piece I create rather than making a bunch of easier garms.

Quality over quantity atm.... or sommin like that!

I was looking through my closet today and j found this dress I made in 2023 for NZFW. It was the last trip I ever did with Max!! Although this dress is super special to me it's miles too big now and I would love for it to be worn by someone. It's been worn for a few hours max all up so it will be priced with that in mind but if anyone would like it send me a dm!
