We’re always looking for date ideas that aren’t just dinner, and this one costs absolutely nothing 🎨

We spent some time wandering through the El Paso Museum of Art and were reminded how much there is to see here. Admission is always free, so it’s an easy one to add to a Downtown day! ✨

It had been a while since we’d been to Toro Burger, so we were definitely due for a visit! 🍔

We stopped by the Cimarron location and went with the Mi Papa and Buffalo Mac & Cheese burgers, plus the Toreado Cheese Fries to share. Safe to say, Toro still hits after all these years 👌🏻

They’ve been part of El Paso’s burger scene since 2007 and a little fun fact we didn’t know: Toro was ranked #4 in Texas by Texas Monthly back in 2009 👀

What we ordered ✨
- Mi Papa Burger
- Buffalo Mac & Cheese Burger
- Toreado Cheese Fries

After some early shopping with my mom and sister, we stopped at Café Parisian for coffee and pastries ☕️

The pastry case made choosing very difficult, but the pear + brie danish definitely caught our attention. If you’re coming for the pastries, go early for the best selection! 🥐

Such a cute little stop for coffee and something sweet after a morning out ☺️

What we ordered ✨
- Pear + Brie Danish
- Almond Croissant

Unbound Café has officially made its way into our coffee rotation ☕️

Everything here is vegan and made desde cero, with a menu that goes beyond the usual coffee lineup: cafecitos, matcha, aguas frescas and rotating specials! 🙌🏻

Brunch that doesn’t require waking up early 🙌🏼

We stopped by Salt + Honey for brunch and love that their brunch menu is served all day. We went sweet + savory with the baklava pancakes and tacos, plus two of their seasonal coffees ☕️

The baklava pancakes were definitely the standout for us, sweet, nutty and very much worth ordering for the table 🥞

What we ordered ✨
- Baklava Pancakes
- Tacos Borrachos
- Peach Latte (seasonal)
- Blueberry Pancakes Latte (seasonal)

Coffee shops open this late are always a good find 🌙

The House Coffee Shop in Downtown El Paso stays open late, with coffee, pastries and plenty of space to hang out. On Fridays and Saturdays, they’re open until 1 AM which makes this one especially good to know about for those late-night coffee runs! ✨

We definitely came hungry to Starlite and ended up trying a little bit of everything 😅

The mexican pizza was one of our favorites, but their menu gets pretty creative. Mushu carnitas with toreado teriyaki, pasta chihuahua, fresh cod tacos, wings and pesto fries were all part of the spread🍕

We also found out they have a happy hour from 3pm-7pm, so keep that in mind if you’re stopping by for drinks and a few things to share! ✨

Brunch classics, but with a little more personality ✨

Neighbor Good’s menu mixes familiar favorites with things like sourdough pancakes, house-made chorizo and creamy green chilaquiles 🤤

We stopped by for a girls’ brunch and went with the chilaquiles and breakfast grain bowl, plus a coffee and matcha. The place was packed, but still had the perfect laid-back vibe for catching up over brunch 🥂

We stopped by Cafe Aware the other day and tried their Mazapán Latte and "The Big Three" and found out they actually make their own oat milk and syrups from scratch! 🫨

The space is super low-key, open until 9 PM, and they have chess, video games, and books set up if you just want to hang out for a bit. Definitely worth dropping by! ✨
