Self Portrait

Self Portrait

Sooner or later,
a person’s quality reveals itself.
It doesn’t make noise.
It doesn’t advertise itself.
It doesn’t ask for validation.
It simply stands.
You see it
in the gaze that doesn’t lower when it’s time to speak the truth,
in the hand that reaches out without expecting anything in return,
in the silence that hides no fear, only dignity.
Time is the strictest judge.
It strips intentions bare,
fades the masks,
and keeps only the essence.
And when the noise has passed,
what remains
is what you always were.
Quality.

Self Portrait

The one who stood before the self
and endured the silence.

Who did not turn away from the abyss,
but remained—until it spoke.

No longer moved by illusion,
but by awareness.

📌 Εσύ τι αναζητάς σε ένα πορτρέτο;

Today’s contributing artist is Elpida Nadia Simeonidou.

The Greek photographer specializes in fine art and portrait photography. She prefers a minimalistic approach to the form, enriching it through various techniques. Most of her work is focused rigorously on shedding light on the obscure fragments of nature, emphasizing their frailty and inaccessible beauty. “This body of work moves between observation and abstraction. [...] The landscape becomes fragmented and reinterpreted, shifting from documentation to perception,” Simeonidou explains.

IT’S OFFICIAL: Το πρώτο τεύχος του Frame Culture Magazine είναι εδώ! 🖤📸
