Today was a day I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Getting baptized was such a beautiful and emotional moment for me, especially having someone so incredibly special to me be the one to baptize me. She was my history teacher in high school, but she became so much more than that she has always felt like a second mom to me, someone who has supported me, loved me, and stood by me through some of the hardest moments of my life. She knows how much I’ve been through, and having her there today to help me take this step in my faith meant more to me than I could ever put into words. I only wish my mama could have been here to see it. I know she would have been so proud of me, and I wish more than anything that I could have looked over and seen her there today. Even though she couldn’t be physically present, I carried her with me in my heart throughout this entire moment. I hope she was watching from above, smiling and proud of the person I’m becoming. Today was not just the beginning of a new chapter in my faith it was a reminder of how far I’ve come, how much I’ve overcome, and how loved I truly am. 🤍✝️ taken in Trace Church by @els.grdn
