A weekend by the sea.

Walks along the beachfront with the frenchies, followed by pizza & rosé at the white lodge. dogs at our feet while we caught up, then home for the evening.

A slow breakfast at Thirty the next morning before the Le Creuset sale in Harrogate, then back to Filey for one last walk by the sea and, of course, fish & chips before home.

Sometimes the simplest weekends are the ones worth archiving.

Save this one for your trip to Zakynthos. 🤍

Casa di Pierro made the perfect base for exploring the island — olive trees outside the door, breakfast beneath their shade and days left open for discovering more of Zakynthos.

Swims at Xigia Sulphur Beach, long lunches, ridiculously blue water and following road signs simply to see where they led.

If Zakynthos is on your list, Casa di Pierro deserves a place on it too.

One for the Zakynthos list. Cameo Island is a tiny escape just off the coast, reached by a wooden footbridge and made memorable by impossibly blue water, white fabric moving in the breeze and views across the Ionian Sea.

Go for the view. Stay for a while.
