Tantas preguntas", la nueva exposición de Max de Esteban (@max_deesteban).Queremos agradecer a todas las personas que nos acompañasteis y formasteis parte de esta gran noche. Fue un privilegio compartir la velada con el artista y recorrer junto a él una muestra que invita a reflexionar sobre algunos de los grandes interrogantes de nuestro tiempo. Brigantinas @nicolalocalzo Design by @giuliaboccarossa Texts by @elsmdd and @gianpazzola Thanks to @museo_nivola and @luca_cheri Brigantinas is part of Nicola Lo Calzo’s long-term research into histories of resistance and emancipation. In this chapter, the work moves through Sardinia, where landscapes, archives and oral histories intertwine to reveal stories that have often remained at the margins of official narratives.Through photographs, documents and fragments of memory, Lo Calzo reflects on figures of rebellion and the complex relationship between territory, identity and collective struggle. The project unfolds as a visual investigation where past and present meet, and where the landscape becomes a space that holds and transmits history. Franco Vaccari. Less than a year ago I had the chance to contribute to a symposium about his work, organized by @nicolettaleonardi_ , at Accademia di Brera, where I spoke about the idea of excess of individuation. I found myself going back to his work a lot more often recently. It’s seminal, possibly amongst the sharpest in the italian context and beyond. What a week of grief in photoland. by @elsmdd

Lieve Yari, Ruim twee jaar geleden kwam je huppelend binnen bij onze Northside Basketball'sCool en je werd snel verliefd op basketball. Deze liefde was wederzijds en een tijd later nodigde Coach Liam je uit voor de tryouts. Daar hoorde je dat je in aanmerking kwam voor een spot in een competitieteam. Je enthousiasme werd alleen maar groter en toen je eenmaal het Northside-tenue aanhad, wilde je hem eigenlijk nooit meer uitdoen. Vorig seizoen speelde je in de u12-2 en je ontwikkelde jezelf onder Coach Jodi tot een schutter pur sang. De tegenstander kon het zich niet permitteren om je vrij te laten, want als die bal in je hand terechtkwam, rondde jij hem bijna Curry-aans af.Maar je bent meer dan een sniper. Je hebt oog voor je teammates, durft naar de basket te driven en gaat hard werken nooit uit de weg. Maar je bent vooral een gangmaker, je hebt een aanstekelijk gevoel voor humor en je bent een vrolijke snuiter. Jij was het hele plaatje en daarom won je vorig seizoen terecht de MVP-prijs van het team. Seizoen 2025-2026 startte je in de u12-1 waarin je ijverig doorging met je drietjes en je plezier in het spelletje. Coach Dwight en Coach Jodi hadden met jou een waardevol schaakstuk in handen. Richting het einde van het kalenderjaar werd duidelijk dat je met je gezin naar Barcelona zou verhuizen en zaterdag 6 december was jouw laatste game bij je geliefde cluppie. Nog één keer konden we genieten van de kleine cecchino met nummer 69 op zijn rug. Niet getreurd Yari. Het boek van het leven bevat een heleboel mooie hoofdstukken die je allemaal tot je moet nemen. Ook in Spanje zul je nieuwe dingen leren, uitdagingen hebben en mooie mensen ontmoeten. Waar je ook heen gaat, Northside zal altijd je huis zijn en jij zal altijd onze Yari blijven. We gaan je missen! There have been big changes brewing in my life recently, and I am ecstatic to finally share that I have joined Fundació @fotocolectania as their new director, following Pepe Font de Mora who has brilliantly led this gem since its creation in 2002. I have big shoes to fill, and I am immensely grateful to everyone that made this happen with their trust and visionary energy - and they have been many! ❤️‍🔥 I will be moving in Barcelona in the coming months, and this means leaving my beloved Amsterdam, our home for the past 15 years. But I am also very excited about the big move, and the chance of imagining further and new paths with the incredible team I have the privilege to work with. I am so much looking forward to discovering more of and connecting with the (photo) communities in BCN and the peninsula, improve my castellano, learn català, look at the sea and think that my little big island is just on the other side. C’é ancora qualche giorno per andare a vedere Non é Stato il Mare/10 anni di Sea-Watch alla @fabbricadelvapore di Milano, curata da me e che parla di 10 anni di soccorso civile nel mare Mediterraneo. Di cosa parliamo quando parliamo di soccorso civile in mare? Quali sono i sistemi politici ed economici criminali dietro i 10 anni scellerati che lo hanno reso un cimitero? Non è Stato il mare. Queste sono le domande dalle quali sono partita, e alle quali abbiamo cercato di dare spazio, e una possibile risposta visiva. L’abbiamo fatto facendo dialogare molti materiali audiovisivi che provengono dall’archivio di @seawatchitaly, un montaggio audio delle conversazioni tra la ong e la cosiddetta guardia costiera libica, italiana, maltese creato da Daria Corrias, alcune investigazioni di @forensicarchitecture e @borderforensics, oggetti ed arredi provenienti dalla Sea-Watch 3, ora parte della collezione del @deutschestechnikmuseum di Berlino, un’opera di @laika1954. L’abbiamo fatto con le grafiche di Marco Loi @rom.laico , il design di @_andreaisola, la produzione curata da Laura Tota @latota. L’abbiamo fatto con la fiducia ed il supporto del team di @seawatchitaly, per il quale nutro un profondo rispetto umano e politico, ed ora anche un affetto che ancora mi commuove, e dal quale ho imparato tantissimo. Con la regia essenziale di @otmcompany , con la quale desideravo collaborare da tanto, e che ha creduto in me - che sia solo l’inizio. E l’abbiamo fatto con le maestranze e con i volontari, con @mattia.bosco_ @mario.vultaggio @liminal_laboratory @francesca.albanese.unsr.opt e tutt@ coloro che hanno animato e preso parte al programma pubblico ed gli incontri. E con tutt@ coloro che in questi mesi mi hanno ascoltata, guidata ed accolta a bordo - grazie, di cuore. Ed infine, l’abbiamo fatto insieme a tutt@ coloro che sono entrati in sala, magari anche solo per curiosità, e ne sono usciti cambiati, arrabbiati. Alla madre che la sera dell’inaugurazione stringeva sua figlia ad occhi chiusi dentro una barca disegnata per terra, e mentre parlavo le scendevano le lacrime.
