A Stormy Night (Final)

I've had this painting on the table for a fortnight now so I've been able to discern what needed some improvement. This is the third iteration of this painting and sometimes I wonder how many hours it took as a whole. Initially I was picturing tree trunks, then the ocean and now possibly a galaxy? by @elusive_hd

Sometimes a painting takes a while to form, other times it takes a couple of sessions and it's done. Soundtracked today by the new @chelseawolfeofficial album 'The Dark'.

A few past creations (2017-2019). All of these except the third and fifth were commissions that got new homes. The third I gifted to my old college (I don't know why - I didn't even study art there) and the fifth is still one of my favourite paintings to date.

The process used to be painting on the floor. I'm 36 next week so that is out of the question nowadays.

It's time I wiped the slate clean on this page.

Here's my latest painting. It's been years since I picked up a brush. Several layers of black, white and grey like in the past, but completed with much more patience.
