ZERO REST FOR THE WEARY!!!

I kno the season hasn’t ended yet and here I am already talking about off-season training… But being ELITE is grind year in and year out. Truth be told, this is the part of the season where playing time is earned… This is where we seperate average from good and good from GREAT!!

Strength building is so important in athletics not just physically but mentally. I also kno that parents have a reserve about thier younger athletes lifting… But it’s so good for them when it’s done the right way. Excited to continue to build this program and helping our young athletes compete at a high level. NOVEMBER IS GO TIME!!! by @elusively_gifted

It’s not always highlight training clips…. Sometimes it’s rep after rep after rep of the same movement until we get it and it starts to become second nature and something we doing have to think about. I love this because he gets better and more confident in the drill sheet every rep. We played with some tempo having him press the gap at different speeds, then making an explosive quick lateral burst then stopping and accelerating through the hole. It’s takes a ton of power, balance control and stability with this drill. I think he did aight.. Lol!! #ElusivelyGifted #MoveDifferent #OffSeasonWork by @elusively_gifted

Getting “skinny” can look a lot of different ways…. But it will always require patience, great vision and even better timing ☝🏾 Keep drilling until it becomes natural… #ElusivelyGifted #MoveDifferent #BeElite #BallCarrierClinic by @elusively_gifted

Love using this yoga ball to start my drills… Simulating losing balance or being pushed to the ground, catching yourself with your hand in the ground while making sure we keep the football glued to our chest…. After regaining balance, immediately getting your eyes back up for would be tacklers and/or running lanes.

✅ Balance
✅ Agility
✅ Strength
✅ Ball Security
✅ Vision

This might be one of my favorite Rb drills “Strip/Tug”. Fumbles got ball carriers totally happen while fighting for more yards when being held up. So we simulate that by having someone holding on to the ball Carriers hips or tugging at their shirt all while having someone else poking at the ball. The runners focus is driving with thier knees and squeezing the football high and tight across thier chest. Driving is also important because you never know if that “would be” defender will fall off or let go and if you aren’t driving with your knees you might lose balance and fall. “Strip/Tug” a staple in my trainings!! #ElusivelyGifted #MoveDiffent by @elusively_gifted

Some progression work with my young steppahs… So many benefits from being able to break this down so they can feel everything from the pass level drop, momentum change, their momentum shift from pressing forward to lateral and the balance it takes through out the entire movement and most important BALL SECURITY. They picked it up though… And look good doing it!! #ElusivelyGifted #MoveDifferent #YungSteppahs #FieldWork by @elusively_gifted

Decided to throw @juddhowells in the fire with Diz for his very first training session with me to see where he is at. I like what I see from him… He has some good size at 6’1 190lbs and was adapting on the fly to drills he’s never done before. Excited to work with him and help him prepare for his senior season @behs_football #ElusivelyGifted #MoveDifferent by @elusively_gifted

This might be THE reason I love doing what i do… Top three fasho. My lil man DJ was getting frustrated because he wasn’t understanding the footwork drill at the pace the group was going… AND his legs was hurting from walking a lot. 😂 He started to get a little emotional so I stopped and was able to slow the drill down for him. But the biggest teaching moment was letting him know it’s okay to ask for help…. As opposed to continue not getting it and potentially creating bad habits. Once we slowed it down, my picked it up and was moving with the rest of the boys!! YEEESSSIIIRRR.. #ElusivelyGifted #MoveDifferent #LifeLessons #CoachingMoments by @elusively_gifted
