🚂 🚆 🚂 choo! chooooo!

The earliest recording of Rock Island Line comes courtesy of musicologist and folklorist John Lomax, recording Kelly Pace and a group of prisoners in 1934. Eventually, on Rainbow Quest, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee sat down with Pete Seeger to play that same tune and that's how I heard it!
