An end of an era.
The home that we moved into after getting married, the home where we lost three beautiful babies, the home where we welcomed our crazy dog, the home where we welcomed our four beautiful children, the home where countless birthday parties, dinners, holidays and ice cream parties were celebrated.
To others, it’s just a house. To us, it’s the home where we grew together, laughed together, cried together and got to be a family together. The home where our children learned to walk and talk. The home where we found comfort after having long days. The home where our faith in God grew together as a family. The home where we looked forward to come to for movie nights, late night college football games and all day pajama days. Our place of solace. Although it will stay in the family business, it’s still a hard goodbye.

Our beautiful Sergio received his first sacramental grace of Baptism this Thanksgiving weekend. Saint Sergio was a military officer for the Roman Empire (which is fitting since his Godfather is currently a Captain in the army). When his Christian faith was exposed, he was tortured and when he refused to deny his faith he was eventually decapitated. My son, may your faith be as strong as St. Sergio. May you stand strong in your loyalty to the Lord and be like a soldier to Christ. A big thank you to one of the sweetest godparents we know, Sergio is one lucky kid to have you both! Welcome to the Catholic Church our sweet Sergi boy…or as your big brother said on your baptism day: “your Original Sin has finally been cleaned away”. Amen to that! by @elvis_pelvis

Someone was very adamant on being a part of the Grajales gang and he couldn’t wait another 5 days…our little Sergio is here and his presence is exactly what we needed…Jeronimo is already planning what toys to play with him and said he’s dedicating all his future goals to him… ❤️ by @elvis_pelvis

Moana and her crew made another appearance this Halloween…mostly because her little sister, Simea, wanted in on the fun this time. I’m just happy they let Maui and boat snacks of bacon and eggs enjoy the fun too! 👻 🎃 by @elvis_pelvis

After a nice long and early summer, we are in full effect at Grajales Catholic Academy! We got ourselves a 3rd grader and welcoming our new Kindergartener! Ready for another year to learn together, make mistakes together but most importantly doing it all together…even if it means mama is going to need an extra coffee or two every day. Happy Fourth of July from the Grajales’! The first signer of the Declaration of the Independence, John Hancock, said “Resistance to tyranny becomes the Christian and social duty of each individual. … Continue steadfast and, with a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which heaven gave, and no man ought to take from us.” That is the mindset our founding fathers had for not just them but for all of us. Grateful to be born in such an amazing country. Let us celebrate with “pomp, parades, shews, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illumination” like John Adams demanded us to. 🇺🇸 taken in Sandy Neck Beach by @elvis_pelvis

Gratitude is the only way I can explain the feelings of yesterday. Our beautiful boy completed his sacrament of Holy Communion and I still can’t believe it. With the help of his community and teachers, this kid really poured himself for the last two years into learning everything he could about Christs sacrifice for us and he keeps leaving me in sheer awe of his dedication. Seeing him continue his journey with Christ is something that, as a Catholic mother, fills my heart with such appreciation and respect of the sacrificial love that Christ has for all of us. The fact that he completed this special sacrament on the Feast of Corpus Christi, where we celebrate the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist and Blood is just the cherry on top. There’s something special about seeing your kids complete the sacraments that our Lord left us on this Earth that brings such joy to my heart, there was nothing to stop the (happy) tears from flowing out. A big thank you to EVERYONE who helped and continues to help Jeronimo on his road to Christ. Great week in Florida: got to be part of our little cousins confirmation, Mica tried to see if President Trump was playing the back 9 at his course, visited some special friends that are now officially Floridians, fed some tarpon the size of little kids, waved hello to Cuba, got to see the newly renovated Gulf of America and spent hours in the pools and beaches. Loved spending time with our family, friends and getting an early start to our summer 🏝️ by @elvis_pelvis

10 years just like that. A decade of you giving me those giddy little butterflies. A decade of growing our beautiful children together.
