We did not control the forging of the paths that has led our kind here, but we take charge of the routes we chose to follow on.
So we will dance green and laugh white,
and make new stories akin to those borne of sacrificial choices, of nationhood, of kinship, and of country.

And if it’s called country or nation, it is what it is. We know, for one, that we have colourful minds, and diversity doesn’t scare us. We know names can be differently embellished words and they won’t drive us too c r a z y to remember it’s still about birthplace, about the faces the darkness of the womb gave way to, the symphony of laughter our frantic ears first caught.

Of kinship.

Of country.

She said she was tired of eating...

Not tired of a particular food but of eating in general.

My 75-year-old grandmother's words inspired me to write a story about loss and how I believe it is a necessary aspect of our humanity—an ingredient for sanity.

"Across Vistas" tries to imagine the possibility of willful permanence, where, as humans, we can decide the duration of moments in our lives—say, delay sexual climaxing for a lifetime, etc. It then asks the question: Would we really want to use this power?

My grandma passed away a few weeks ago, and I am struggling with a realization: however loving, however blissful, everything is better in memory than they are in experience.

From the very first moment, I knew that he had the extraordinary potential to accomplish great things. His talent, intelligence, and writing prowess have always impressed me, and I have been delighted to watch him grow and develop over the years.

His hard work and perseverance have paid off, and he will continue to achieve great things in the years to come.

I have enjoyed watching him mature into the outstanding person he is today. His kind heart and loyalty have made him a cherished extension of me.

So, my dear @elvis_views I want to thank you for all that you have done and all that you continue to do. You are an inspiration to me, and I am so proud of all that you have accomplished.
