Llanybydder, 2024A trip to the Welsh countryside in spring. Morning meanders with a friendly feline. Soft sun and smatterings of flowers.Collecting cuttings from the garden and fields in a bowl lined with damp kitchen roll. Hiding from spring showers within the cool quiet walls of a thatched cottage, collaging collected treasures onto skin. Photos taken in the grass in the evening light. Not a bad day. When your friends throw an event and say you can have a platform to do whatever you want - theme: DOTS. A week of sculpting fungi inspired nodules in clay and dab dab dabbing layers of liquid latex over them and a bald cap head. Remembering how the F to make a custom bald cap. Encapsulating shiny white silicone dots in cap plastic with no mold. Smushing silicone into muslin for a costume evidently completely out of shot 👍 Testing, tweaking, testing….Assembled live on Wonder Woman extroadinaire @tigressperformer who mercifully took over the audience interaction side of things to save my brain the strain of constantly jumping in and out of hyperfocus 😵‍💫Thank you @irresponsibleorange & Ria @wearemadcap for letting me do my thing ❤️ #fungi #dotsdotsdots #sonya7rii #sonyphotogallery #adobe #creativemakeup by @elvissch_

One of many. Many designs and tests for a client.Many days in a garage loosing all sense of time & merrily depleting myself of vitamin D before winter.Many misses. Many days developing, pushing, tweaking, learning, tearing my hair out. Many experiments with my camera.Many moments in intermittent darkness, flailing around with fairy lights, triggering flashes and forgetting to drink water. Not really a fan of the dots but I like the light/colour trails. Long exposure photography is a lot of fun.
