My first @ca_enduro race was China Peak Enduro 2018. Just by chance some friends talked me into using a transfer and racing blind, what a way to start but I was hooked. Nine years and 32 races later I’m headed to Ashland in September for one more CES race. I’m probably not going to be fully recovered but definitely want to make it to this race. 2025 was an exceptional year both good and bad. The year started off on fire with a win for the @cccxcycling series men’s 55-64 cat2, an all time bucket list item 2nd place @seaotterclassic men’s 50+ enduro, 3rd at G town @ca_enduro, and then the catastrophic wipe out in Wizard that left me with a shattered patella that required 2 surgeries and months of rehab. Now I have accomplished another goal and was able to get back out in the dirt for a couple of good rides before the year ended. I’m thankful for @ggggena , my loving wife, who nursed me back to health and the ability to continue to ride even though I have a long way to go. I’m looking forward to coaching again for @scmcycling and doing some racing in 2026.
