First off, I want to Congratulate all the @prodancestudio kids on another great season, you amaze me with how talented you all are. Can’t wait to see what’s in store this season for you kids.

Congratulations to my sweet girl @raslyn_j on being picked as ProDance’s 2022-2023 “Dancer of the Year” and awarded Hardest Worker. Every year at the Team Banquet one dancer out of all the levels is honored with the title Dancer of the Year and this year it was given to Raslyn. I honestly still can’t believe that happened last night, if someone would of told me when she started dancing that one day she would get such an award I would of thought they were crazy but I am tremendously grateful to her teachers for believing her worthy of this award and helping her to become the dancer she is today. Ras started this journey when she was 7 at Prodance and all her teachers but especially Tara and Katrina have helped fuel the love and passion Raslyn has for dance and that is something I will FOREVER be grateful to both these ladies.

@taraprodan and @katpro31 thank you for being YOU because you both are truly AMAZING teachers, you continuously push Ras outside her comfort zone but more importantly for believing in her and never giving up on her. We love and appreciate you both so much. @nicole.f.austin , @rebeccajones_ , @morgkimmerle , @hannahgossett__ and @torisokalski thank you for all you have done for Ras this year as well, we can’t thank you ladies enough. You all truly are her second family 💛🖤

Lastly, to my forever little girl Ras I am so Proud of you and can’t believe how far you’ve come, I am always left in awe of your work ethic, growth and drive, I love you so much princess and can’t wait to see what this year has in store for you, remember daddy @sgt_jac (thank you for being the Best Dance Dad) and I will always be just one step behind you supporting/cheering you on 💕 by @elymar_jacoby

Wow, what a week to remember…My girl @raslyn_j has officially made ASH “The Company”!!!

A year ago Raslyn tried out for The Company and unfortunately did not make it, did it hurt her “of course but thinking back on it today I am grateful she didn’t make it then because that night something switched in Raslyn. I remember her wiping her tears off, celebrating her friends and then right before bed that night she said “I can’t wait to go back home to start training and get better”, and that’s exactly what she did. She put in countless hours of training at the studio and at home by herself, with @sgt_jac and with me. She literally immersed herself into her craft, she lived and breathed DANCE this year to get better so she could comeback and make “The Company” and she did just that.

To think back at when she first started her dance journey at 7, I never thought it was possible for Raslyn to become the beautiful dancer she is today, let alone ever make ASH The Company but my little underdog once again has proven to me that there’s nothing she can’t do when she sets her mind to something. This ride has not been easy but every setback, struggle, self doubt and cry session has been worth it because it’s brought you here. Ras to say I’m proud of your accomplishment last night would be an understatement but what makes me even more proud of you is that you are the hardest worker I know, like your teachers say “there’s no one who works harder than Raslyn”. You have earned everything on your own, you weren’t born with beautiful feet, lines or flexibility but because of your unwillingness to give up you have them now and that’s something you should be proud of yourself for.

✨Sweet 16✨

Wow Happy Birthday to my favorite girl in the world @raslyn_j …I can’t believe you are 16 today because it really feels like just yesterday I held you in my arms for the first time (I know it’s a cliche to say but it’s true). From the moment I laid eyes on you, you became the single most important thing in my life, I didn’t understand how someone so tiny could hold so much power over me. My love for you since that very moment has been infinite and that’s something that will never change no matter how old you are because to me you will always be my little girl. The day you were born your father and I made a promise to give you a home full of love from both a mother and father, where you always felt safe and parents you can always count on and run to whenever you need help, I hope we have fulfilled that promise to you. I also hope you know just how much you are loved not just by me but everyone around you, you are the kind of kid it’s hard not to love because you are the sweetest most genuine person, never change your heart because it’s special.

Raslyn you are and always will be my biggest blessing. Back when I got pregnant of you I didn’t know how much I needed you if my life for guidance and purpose but God did and him allowing me to be your mom has been the greatest gift I’ve ever received. Thank you for making being your mom since you were born so easy and now as a teenager even easier, you’re the kind of daughter any parent would be proud to call theirs and trust me when I say your dad and I are beyond proud to call you our daughter. Ras, never stop dreaming for the stars or working towards your goals even when the road gets bumpy because you have proven time after time that you can achieve anything you set your mind to and remember your dad and I will always be just one step behind you for when you need us, I love you with all my heart Poo ❤️…Like your favorite bedtime story…

These past few weeks you have been killing it but they have been long and exhausting but I wouldn’t have it any other way. In a few short years this part of your @raslyn_j dance journey will be over and I know your father and I will miss these long weekends.

Ras I’m just so proud of you…your drive, determination and dedication to be a good dancer one day has really helped make you the beautiful dancer you are today

Seeing you yesterday helping get your teammates stretched/warmed up and running their solos was a very proud mom moment for me. Ras you showed me that seeing your teammates do well at their first independent competition was just as important to you as you doing well. You really are the most hardworking, humble and selfless kid I know…to be honest that makes me more proud than any accolade you may achieve

Congratulations to an AMAZING WEEKEND princess @raslyn_j you truly never cease to amaze us ❤️
Friday Ras started the weekend competing first thing in the morning at Nuvo Dance Convention and the talent there was insane. Her only goal was to get the highest adjudication “DJs Pick” (score of 297-300). To see the look on her face when they announced that she got a DJs pick was priceless and then to get 8th place and be on stage with all those amazing dancers made all the hard work she continues to put in worth it.
Saturday she had another long day, she had convention classes until 2:00 and another huge goal of hers was to finally get the Audition Scholarship at Nuvo and she got it, she’s happy to be a Nuvo Breakout RU. She accomplished 3 huge goals she set for herself before the season started in 2 day and to say I’m proud would be a complete understatement.
Sunday she had classes until 2:30 after having rehearsals Saturday night until 9. She was exhausted but after Nuvo we went to Blackwood to compete at Legacy a competition that means a lot to Ras.
Legacy is the competition that proved to her she was able to hold her own in the Advance Div when she believed she was an intermediate dancer. She wanted the opportunity to go back to see how she could place now that she’s grown as a dancer. To say she was happy with the outcome would once again be an understatement, she was over the moon 🌙. We continue to be so proud of all her hard work and all the goals/achievements she continues to accomplish each and everyday no matter how big or small they may be. Raslyn I know everyone always tells you that you are living proof that with passion and true dedication you can achieve anything because you truly are, you went from being the little girl with two left feet, no flexibility, ugly feet to this amazingly beautiful dancer that always leaves me in complete and utter awe of you. Remember keep reaching for the stars

It’s that time of year again, dance competitions every weekend with my favorite girl…So beyond proud of you princess @raslyn_j , you were absolutely amazing this morning ☀️

Every season I think you can’t outdo your previous season but somehow you prove me wrong each time. I told you earlier this week that this year is definitely going to be harder because now you’re going to be one of the youngest since you moved up to the Senior division (dancing with the 15-19 year olds). You went into today with just wanting to make the top 10 because there was over 50 Solos in your division (and they were all amazing), you didn’t just make top 10 you actually got 2nd Overall Senior Elite Solo, 1st Runner Up for Title, Power Pak Invite and Wild Dance Scholarship, you killed it!!! You didn’t let the fact that you were one of the youngest there stop you from showing everyone just how amazing of a dancer you truly are. I love you so much and am always so proud of you, my beautiful girl ❤️

I want to give a special thank you to her teachers @prodancestudio @taraprodan @nicolekonides and @katpro31 because even tho they couldn’t be there physically, we still felt like they were there with her…all your texts before and after her performances and warming her up through FT made all the difference, so grateful for each of you…always so proud to be apart of the best studio around 💛🖤

This weekend was long but totally worth it because I got to watch my girl and the rest of her @prodancestudio family do what they love most. So proud of each and everyone of them.

@raslyn_j watching you dance is honestly my favorite thing to do, somehow you always leave me in awe of you and your work ethic princess. I still can’t believe that the little girl who had two left feet when she started out is now such a beautiful dancer. Happy Veteran’s Day 🇺🇸 my love. So proud of you and all you did during the 8 years you served our beautiful Country. Thank you for being brave enough at just 18 years old to protect the freedoms most take for granted and for doing a job most are not willing to do. Happy 14th Birthday to my favorite boy/person in this world 🌎. Aj I have always told you that you are my dream come true because you literally are. I remember the day I first laid eyes on you and thinking how you looked exactly how I always envisioned my future son to look and being completely in awe by your face. I remember being nervous when I found out I was pregnant with you, I was afraid that I could never love you as much as your big sister because I had a year worth of memories and time spent with her but the second I held you in my arm all those worries instantly went away. You were exactly what I didn’t know I needed and the missing piece to our beautiful little family. Aj you have kept me on my toes since the day you were born and I wouldn’t have it any other way, your delivery story will forever be my favorite, that’s why love telling you it every year on your birthday. Aj you are the most amazing son & brother, you are loyal, empathetic, giving, selfless but most importantly you are such a God loving kid which is so rare to see in a kid your age, remember never change who you are for anyone and keep being you because I’m so proud to say you are my son.
