Anyone else feel like 2024 can go suck it? Let me recap my year for you with this: I almost dated a man who had throw pillows as good friends. Like was planning on buying them Christmas gifts. Mmmk? I dare you to beat that one. Share in the comments #goddessenergy #showandtell #2025goals #iwin by @elynor.and.co

Want to know the three biggest business design trends I’m observing today? Let’s dive right in with these AI images I created while wondering what I might look like if I were a room🔮. And let’s forget that it’s been four years since my last post, shall we?
.
#1: Normalize Texture: I’m noticing a shift towards maximalism in design, moving away from the minimalist trend. This might sound surprising, but in a world where being eclectic also means recycling the past (sustainability trend) ♻️ or holding onto memories (our lonely culture) 🕯️, I see this as a positive move. Texture adds personality and makes us more approachable.
.
#2: Whistle Blow Corporate: It’s time for corporate America to embrace a more vibrant and exciting color palette. 🪲Playing it safe or sticking to the same old stock photos is no longer a viable strategy for growth. B2C and even B2B companies are missing out on a huge opportunity by dismissing Neon Pink and velvety emerald green. Think Lyft. Not right. See what I did there? 🤭
.
#3: Embrace the Uneven: 🦩While businesses have always been focused on capturing as much as possible from their consumers, many successful startups I’ve worked with recently are embracing the idea of capturing only what they can intentionally grasp. Take ASMR candy boutique Silky Gems, for example. 🍬 How niche can one go? Quite niche, it seems. But they’re crushing it with their unique gem-shaped, crunchy, and chewy sparkling candies, with orders taking over a month to fulfill (thanks to the ASMR artists who’ve organically grown them). The bottom line? Stay weird, Austin. Know what I mean?
.
Stay tuned for more design trend tea 🍵 with Elynorand Co. I’ll share with you all my moody, fabulous, and intriguing insights into what I see as a corporate presentation and branding designer. 📯

Can’t believe it’s been 7 years since I started my little presentation company. Never in a million years did I think I would be where I am... working with Fortune 100 companies to hungry and motivated entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas. As year 7 comes to a close, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all my clients and end-clients who have made me a part of their world. Life is good when you love your job! taken in Wilmington, North Carolina by @elynor.and.co

The past 2+ months have thrown me very far from my personal comfort zone. In complete disclosure, I've been reluctant to get on social media at all.

There's been such huge change in my personal life, locally, globally, ethically, socially... it became almost too much to think where I would start or what I should say.

There's just SO MUCH to be aware of and to be empathetic towards. So I went silent - in an earnest attempt to truly listen and distill all the struggles I've been blessed enough to feel very far removed from.

But what I have learned from BLM, Covid and through my evolving relationships is that one thing feels consistent: GROWTH is to be had from the hardships. From the darkest and heaviest of hours - those who listen and really care always pull through, rethink their strategies and believe in working together for the better.

I'll soon be working pro-bono for a black community who needs solid visual presentation strategies and design work, but I have more to give. So if you know any businesses who feels lost or without customers, or peaceful protestors / communities who need a helping hand through a presentation or visual strategy, PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME. I am here. Still actively listening, but coming out of my shell in any attempt to help. by @elynor.and.co

...COMBINE YOUR BRANDING WITH YOUR CLIENT'S BRANDING IN 3️⃣ EASY STEPS 🍎👉🏼👈🏼🍊

This is a question I get asked every single week as a presentation designer - so let's unpack how to do this gracefully. 👇🏼

1️⃣ Use the slide layouts you like best from your own brand presentations. They are likely the most comfortable format for you to write within - and being able to keep that efficiency alive is critical.

💡TIP: Having an array of slide layouts that you use for your own capabilities or pitch decks sure does streamline this process.

2️⃣ Swap your brand colors for theirs. This is a simple trick which makes it look like you custom designed a slide deck just for them. And we all like to feel special right?

💡TIP: If you don't have their brand colors, simply find their logo or website and pin prick their colors with your mouse using the "more colors" option in your formatting pallet in PowerPoint.

3️⃣ Finally, choose imagery and icons that are somewhere in the middle between you and your client. So if you are a market research agency and they are a pharmaceutical company, choose images that include a mix of business, insights, doctors, people thinking, reading, examining etc.

💡TIP: My new favorite site to get stock imagery at a low cost is twenty20. Most photos include commercial rights and are a lot less "stocky" than shutterstock.

Is it just me or are you feeling all the feelings too rn? Staying home has always been my jam, but being forced to feels different somehow... there’s suddenly more time to pause, think, wonder, imagine, and explore emotions you haven’t felt for so long. Things bubble up wildly now... which almost forces tough conversations and buried emotions to come flailing out at an unusually rapid pace. But I’m here for it... mostly because I can’t change it. How are you guys? Are you letting it out more too now? #thankscorona #letitout #feelthefeelings taken in Wilmington, North Carolina by @elynor.and.co
