Learning to embrace my “slow season” 😌

…& when I say slow season I’m talking about realizing this season is not all about me. SHOCKING right?? Like what are we even talking about?? But at some point in life you gotta be the cheerleader & says “you go glen co co” because when one of us win in this family we all win & i’m learning to be perfectly fine with that.

September’s journal entry 💌

…how do even begin to explain that I went through every emotion in the freaking book in September. Like girl, it felt like I was an a literal merry go round. If you watch my stories you know our family went through a huge transition in September & although we’re extremely excited, i keep thinking “what does this new life even look like“. As a true visionary, I’m 1000% struggling with that. Obviously I need to visualize what this new chapter looks like but girl all I’m getting is static… I do know all the signs are point in the right directions & I to be honest I think my only option now is to just sit & enjoy the ride. It’s like, I can see the tree growing but how am I going to get over there to water it??

September was the month of growth & babyyyy that’s exactly what this family did. She was cute but I’m definitely ready for the real vibes to begin…So here’s to more love & more special memories in October 🫶🏽

On a natural high 🤍✨

…this weekend was so fun!! Thank you @themoderndaywife & @shapellxofficial for getting me out the house & throwing an event for the girls to come out & show out, so that’s exactly what we did!! I honestly can’t believe I didn’t get a million pictures with everyone else…. I guess that’s what happens when you’re having too much fun 🤭

But honestly this event made me want to host an intimate event with just my girls, i missed you my girls so much. So, what say you?? 🥰🤍

As requested 👩🏽‍🍳

…you can always leave it to me to find a delicious & easy meal courtesy of Pintrest 🤭

Of course I had to make it my own, so I added in some ground italian sausage for some depth of flavor & instead of spinach I used frozen collard greens because my spinach was getting wilted & we can’t use slimy spinach. I pared the soup with jalapeño cheddar bread & it was a flavor bombbbb! My son absolutely loved it, especially the dipping his bread in the soup part.

This dish maybe took about 30min to make & it was sooooo delicious. I did use dry beans for this recipe so this pot took about an hour & a half to make but if you use canned beans this could be the easiest dish to make for during the week…with guaranteed leftovers for lunch 😋

If you’re tired of the same ol soups like I was…pleseeeee do yourself a favor & make this! Your family will love it.

✨ingredients
- ground Italian sausage
- white beans
- water
- heavy cream
- chili oil/ chili flakes
- frozen collard greens
- sun dried tomatoes
- minced onions
- minced garlic
- Italian seasonings / all the seasonings for taste

This was actually so fun 😌

…if you watch my stores then you know I’ve been trying to find a simple hobby for sometime now & I think I’ve found it. This came across my feed the other day & i immediately went and bought one because lord knows I can’t draw & i needed something that didn’t require a lot of pieces because helllloooo, im a mom. Of course my little helper wanted to help but with this he can tag along in his own coloring book.

I think i’ll get a few different color markers… maybe some pastel colors to make this a little more my style. This was my second attempt & how cute did this turn out? It definitely wasn’t what I was excepting it to be & that’s the fun of it all.

Let me know, would you try this as a cute simple hobby??
