Our Oakie boy’s first day of Kindergarten! We have poured so much love and hard work into helping this sweet boy grow and develop. I said “Chick-Fil-A”, Rach said “parking lot” and BOOM. My favourite family photos ever were born. I wish I could share all 200 photos but here’s a little sneak.

These past 2.5 years have been some of the hardest and loneliest years but these five people have snuggled and brightened and uplifted me through it all. Through my tears I’ve seen them grow in empathy, gentleness, and softness and it’s been a joy to witness. These years with Littles who are turning into Bigs is just the best 🤍 by @elysenull

Relationships are really hard. We didn’t have the closest one, but my dad was one of my biggest gymnastics supporters, came to LA to visit Scarlett when she was a baby, and always called the kids and I on birthdays. He loved us in his own way, and I’m really glad I was able to hold his hand as he passed. I pray that in his final weeks he saw all the friends and family who loved him and felt that he was loved.

I spent a few years in my 20s learning what it was to truly forgive someone for the things that they did or didn’t do. I’m so glad I was able to go into this weekend with a free heart that held no bitterness or sadness for the what ifs of my childhood. I was able to be there, fully present, for him in his final days and I pray that he felt that I didn’t hold anything over him and that I loved him.
