Hey friends, Emily here to share my new mix! Some of it’s dark and stormy, some is light and sweet, and there’s plenty of whimsy folded in 🤪

When I was making this mix, I imagined a benevolent alien, curious about the human experience, landing on earth. It takes some time to get her wits about her, and she encounters many strange, mysterious, and beautiful places. She makes friends, lovers, enemies and, at times, feels defeated. But in the end she pushes through the hardships and discovers peace, wonder, and bliss. Maybe the alien was me all along? 👽

Lmk if you enjoy it and come celebrate my 36th birthday this Saturday April 18th at @thegardenclubwildheaven 🫶🏻

April clicks bring a May mix, and CC queen bee @em__trails is here to deliver. Debuting a wonky take on breaks, techno, and big-hearted house for her first residency mix, she’s ready to sweat - are you?

Em Trails is the alter ego of founding resident, Emily Kendrick. Her lifetime love of music puts her right at home behind the decks, blending the saccharine with the strange and the old school with the contemporary. Give her mix a listen, and get back to us once you recover. And for all the heads, don’t forget to give Cut Corners a follow on SoundCloud. You know where to find the link ⛓️‍💥 by @em__trails

Something we hear all the time: artists are craving more opportunities to connect with other artists.

This Saturday, we’re throwing a party for just that. Come kick it in the yard for a chance to share your work, get inspired by others, and expand your creative network. This will be a very casual environment, so the pressure couldn’t be lower.

Art and artist appreciators also welcome ✌️

Let’s get BENT once again y’all!

We are back and better than ever with this summer’s iteration of BENT, a multi-genre dance party at VOWL. This month we are joined by a new face to the party, but a familiar face to Asheville. We have special sets in store for y’all coming from:

boys_camp
+ em trails (ATL

Come out ready to dance the night away and be immersed in the sounds of the night. Delicious drinks, large scale art installations, and a whole lot of dance floor debauchery 😈

Friday, July 17th, 2026
9pm-1am

boys_camp, an Asheville resident, focuses in on multi-genre blending and exploring the bounds of dance music in many formats. From house to techno, to garage and breaks, and countless other danceable styles of music, you can expect to embark on a sonic journey filled with vibes that keep you movin’. Known for bringing the heat to dance floors all across the south east, they continue to extend their reach into the never ending world of dance and electronic music.

Em Trails, AKA Emily Kendrick, is an Atlanta-based DJ and resident of Cut Corners, a creative collective that produces nightlife events with an emphasis on visual and interactive experiences. Em has been cutting her teeth behind the decks in various clubs and venues in the southeast for several years and feels right at home blending the saccharine with the strange, and old school with contemporary. Expect wonky breaks and techno alongside big-hearted house and club favorites. 🫨🫶🏻
