Art directed and designed the vinyl sleeve, merch, posters and some more for the LA-based @breymer’s newest album “When I Get Through”.

@em_argiro printed the colour-wash portraits of Sarah (taken by @simone.niamani) on what they call their ‘eccentric’ home printer to achieve a quirky mix of distortions, textures and colours. The portraits were then cut, folded, weaved and rescanned to form layered collages.

@shreykathuria responded to Argiro’s collages via typography that teeters on the line of illegibility just like the undulating feelings Breymer may have felt during the process of attempting gender affirming care. Across music videos and digital, there is kinetic typography that furthers the narrative of ‘finding yourself’ that is heard on the album.

Art direction and graphic design: Shrey Kathuria (@shreykathuria)
Cover artwork, handmade collages and scans: Em Argiro (@em_argiro)
Portrait photography: Simone Thompson (@simone.niamani)
