Spent a week on the Jurassic Coast. Wasn’t expecting the girls to both have hand foot and mouth disease, and spend most of it feeling rotten, but there were lots of lovely times too.
We explored different fossils, examined rocks, learnt about Mary Anning, ate lots of ice cream, went on a fairy trail and did a treasure hunt!
We took the single as Eden likes to walk everywhere now, turned out she was either being carried or sat on the front rider as her feet were blistered with her virus. Such a great option!
Highly recommend taking your kids here, they will love it!

If your visiting Dorset with children I highly recommend taking them to the Blue Pool. There is a beautiful pram friendly fairy trail, at each of the 12 doors you are invited to make a wish on a pine cone/leaf/bark, and the girls really wanted to do this with a kiss each time🧚the option to feed pigs 🐷, a lovely cafe and a resident peacock (or peapock) 🦚 as Eden called it. If you’re lucky you might find its feathers!

Pyjamas on, but the girls didn’t want the day to end. A little walk down to Charmouth beach in search of fossils, and the most delicious fish and chips on the way back to our static caravan- not forgetting the pickle!!

The smallest outings can be the biggest adventures!! ✨

Finding adventure within the daily routine ✨
Our walk home from nursery is a good few miles and the girls usually end up nodding off. Today was no different, but I had promised them ice cream, and my life would not have been worth living if they had of woke at home without their little treat. 🍦😴

I was battling with myself this morning, whether to have a pyjama day or to get outside. 🥱
Sometimes it can feel so difficult to leave the house: Partly because of the organisation, especially with twins - meals, medication, hygiene needs, dressing, playing, organising what to take, preparing them to leave the house - it can take hours!! I definitely found it easier when they were younger!!
I also often feel completely burnt out, and feel like hiding from the world. 😔
It’s often a battle even though you know they will be happy as soon as they leave the house - one wants to go to soft play or the park, the other to the beach. 🙈
Anyway, if you can push through it, it’s usually worth the effort! 🤗

A lovely walk along the camel trail in Padstow a few days ago. Eden was at pre-school, but as Malia had been vomiting so she couldn’t attend. Felt so strange being out with the one twin, what a breeze looking after one 3 year old!!
