With the kind permission of Joni Mitchell, my cover of ‘Blue’ is officially out everywhere! 💙 . You probably didn’t know, but singing has always been deeply instinctive for me. Long before I began my formal guitar studies, I was writing songs around eight years old while accompanying myself on the guitar. Even today, shaping sound and melody on my guitar always begins with my voice; the two are deeply intertwined. Now they finally meet again, for the very first time on recording. 🌊 . Thank you @jonimitchell for writing this sublime song, which is deeply meaningful to me. “You know I’ve been to sea before” has never felt stronger. . My upcoming album Where the sea breathes is inspired by my favorite place I return to again and again: the sea. It invites you to listen closely, enter a space of stillness and vulnerability, and perhaps, for a moment, hear the sea breathing. Full EP release on November 4th, 2026. I hope this one finds you gently. —— Out on all streaming platforms (link in bio) Credits: Music & Composer: Joni Mitchell: Blue © Crazy Crow Music (ASCAP). Tristesse is out now everywhere!💙 . To me, it sketches a landscape that unfolds slowly, without urgency, moving like tides and waves. And, Tristesse feels especially at home in this season. Autumn is a time of transition, of slowing down and turning inward. . This is the second single from my upcoming album, Where the sea breathes, which grew from my deep connection with the sea: the place I return to, again and again. When I approach the water, close my eyes, and listen, I hear her breath. I hope it brings you warmth 🌅 (ps: feel free to share!) —— Available on all streaming platforms 💙 Full video on YouTube: @EmmaWillsGuitar Credits Composer: Francis Kleynjans, Aux lumières du crépuscule op. 54, nr. 4: Tristesse Performer & concept: Emma Wills Videographics: Kevin De Borger & Emma Wills @ Verbeke Foundation Music recorded at @motormusicstudios @antarctica.records #guitare #guitar #release by @em_wi
Cancion is out now everywhere! ⭐️ There is something in Mompou’s music that always brings me back to myself - where simplicity becomes a form of strength, and the way silence becomes part of the music itself. . Cancion creates space to simply breathe, to slow down, to become still, and to listen. This is very much at the heart of my upcoming album: Where the sea breathes. This EP grew from my connection with the sea - the place I return to again and again. When I approach the water, close my eyes and listen, I hear her breath. In that sound, I find calm, softness and a sense of being held. Cancion is the first step into that world. . ‘Cancion’ by Federico Mompou leaves space for reflection, stillness and vulnerability, and perhaps, for a moment, invites you to listen closely enough to hear the sea breathing. I hope this piece finds you gently 💌 ____ Available on all streaming platforms 💙 Full video on YouTube: @EmmaWillsGuitar Credits Composer: Federico Mompou: Cancion Y Danza No. 6a (Arr. for guitar by Alirio Díaz) Performer & concept: Emma Wills Videographics: Kevin De Borger & Emma Wills @ Verbeke Foundation Music recorded at @motormusicstudios @antarctica.records #guitar #federicomompou #release by @em_wi

Pure joy sharing the stage with @bachwerkbrussels as a soloist last week, guided by the brilliant and wonderfully warm @crea_tive_kat_. The (gorgeous!) and full church was filled with so much warmth. For this Deutsche Romantik program, I brought to life music by Catharina Josepha Pratten, Felix Mendelssohn, and Robert Schumann on my original romantic guitar from 1820. Thank you for the lovely memories 💐 All photograph credits to @babelfisheye: thank you! by @em_wi

Grateful to have performed it as the soloist with the all-female Virago Symphonic Orchestra a while ago.
