From time to time you need to find refreshment from the summer heat, and sometimes it’s not in the sea that you go look for it. This time, in search of fresher air, we went to the mountains.

What we found there was more air and more greenery, very little people and a lot more soul. That’s what we all love about small towns, isn’t it?

And the fact that they have blueberry strudels that generations and generations have known and loved!

If you’re ever driving from the inner part of Croatia to the coast, you might want to make a little stop here. It’s what all the locals do on their way to holidays, or just another normal Saturday! 🫐

p.s. You might even get to fight about the corner/middle piece with your loved ones. I got the good one this time (last photo) 😋 by @ema.t

This is what August feels like to me.

Like a first breeze of fresh air after a long warm day, just before the sun sets, while everything is painted in golden hues. Like the slight smell of dew early in the morning. Like clean sheets and freshly baked pastries on a weekend.

I’ve been having the most nostalgic summer I could have. Reading, baking (a lot!!), doing word puzzles and embroidering and all the nice analog things. Taking (some) analog photos, even!

Even though I only had one week of actual (off of work) holidays, I can say that this summer has really felt like a real summer should. Endless. Like it used to when we would be off from school for months, remember?

And the best part?

There’s still more summer left, no matter what the autumn lovers (like myself) want to make you believe ☀️ by @ema.t

Wood interiors, wall paintings and golden light are my type of cozy.

I’ve visited Leuven so many times before, but this was the first time I made it here. And I was wowed!

Welcome to the Groot Begijnhof - a beguinage, a home to independent communities of women, building quiet worlds of their own. 🍂

Leuven has two beguinages - a small and and big one. They are on opposite sides of town, the small beguinage being in the northern part, and the big one in the south, but it only takes 25-30 minutes to reach one from the other on foot. And the walk leads you through the town center where you get to explore the town’s amazing medieval architecture - could it be any better?

I promise you, wandering through these quiet cobbled streets and red-brick courtyards will make you feel like you are stepping back in time - if Leuven does not already make you feel that way. 🕰️

I said it before and I’ll say it again, I bloom in the fall 🍁

My walks through Brussels have gotten new hues recently, and the occasional rain drops just add to the charm. I truly believe Brussels was made for fall 🍂✨ by @ema.t

Brussels in blooms 🌸

Hope you enjoy this little collection of photos from my weeky walks through Brussels this spring! These gorgeous blooms and the weather we’ve been having… I feel spoiled ☀️

The wonderful weather we’ve been having in Brussels lately has reminded me of some of my photos from October in Paris. Although I have enough photos for soo many series, this is the last little one from Paris, for now.

Time to bring on some new things and tell you more about my European adventures 🌸

A Paris classic ☀️

Paris 5è is a real vibe. The quiet, picturesque streets with gorgeous buildings, and noisy little squares with so many cafés overflowing with people chatting, laughing and enjoying every moment with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine ☕️

- this was the good kind of noisy 🍷
