This past Friday, our very own Miss Hawaiʻi, Emalia Dalire, took her final walk across the Miss Hawaiʻi stage and passed on her title to her successor at the 2026 Miss Hawaiʻi Competition.

During the competition, Keolalaulani Hālau ʻŌlapa O Laka was welcomed back to the Miss Hawaiʻi stage, where Emalia chose to honor both her hālau and her grandmother, the late Kumu Hula Aloha Dalire. Together, they performed the hālau’s beloved song, E Kuʻu Sweet Lei Poinaʻole, composed by Aunty Emma Defries.

Projected behind the group was a photograph of Aunty Aloha, symbolizing her ever-present presence on a night that was especially meaningful for her granddaughter. It was a beautiful reminder that while she may no longer be with us in person, her legacy continues to guide and inspire each generation that follows.

Today, as we celebrate Aunty Aloha’s birthday and the incredible life she lived, we also congratulate Emalia on a remarkable year of service, leadership, and aloha as Miss Hawaiʻi. We are so proud of all she has accomplished and look forward to watching the next chapter of her journey unfold.

Hauʻoli Lā Hānau, Aunty Aloha. Your legacy lives on.

This has been an incredible year and I am so proud to wear Hawaii across my chest. This has been a dream come true. From traveling across the pae ‘āina and beyond, to sharing the importance of identity and self empowerment, my love for service has only grown.

Though this role was something I did not plan for, I can now see why God had placed this opportunity on my path. My cup is full and heart is overjoyed with the many blessings He has given me. Being Miss Hawaii has given me the chance to change the world.

My all who wear this crown next continue this legacy of change, and cement her name in history. Thank you @MissHawaiiOrg for giving this Kane’ohe girl a chance to take on the world and leave my footprints on the sands of time.

Signing off, your forever Miss Hawaii 2025, Emalia Dalire.
Hawaii, it’s been my immense honor to serve and be loved by you. Mahalo nui loa and a hui hou ❤️

What a wonderful way to kick off Miss Hawaiʻi Week with Island by KoaNani!

Mahalo for hosting such an incredible evening and the first annual Stepping Into Style event with the Miss Hawaiʻi Organization. Each contestant had the opportunity to design and showcase a shoe that reflected her unique personality, creativity, and story.

The winning design will be announced during the Miss Hawaiʻi competition on June 18–19, with all proceeds supporting scholarships for our titleholders and contestants.

It was so special to see each of these amazing young women leave their own mark on this project. Mahalo to everyone who made this event possible and for investing in the future of these incredible women. I can’t wait to see whose design takes home the title!
