If you train regularly and you have overactive lots/ dominant lats, I did encourage you to take a look at my long form video which could unpack certain areas of discussion around posture planes of movement training, constitution and the interconnected relationship with our nervous system breathing mechanics are walking gait cycle, and overall functionality.

If you also notice that you feel slightly different after training - for the sake of today’s video let’s mainly target: 👉🏼 upper body days, especially back days ; maybe that could include

anxiety, heart, palpitations, difficulty breathing, feeling rigid/ stiffer to get up from the bed or the couch or rotate.
Maybe even, racing thoughts or noticing that pain translates into 👉🏼 hip pain, neck pain or other referred pain like shoulder pain which is very common.

This video is for you friend.

Comment LATS & delve into this episode with me of the Posture Series.

With love,

I didn’t report the other two because the system deceived me the first time not from the 2 incredible female officers that helped me but from a male Sargent at the time who misused his position.

Apart from that, I was also terrified and the second one is now in prison and has even murdered so, I consider myself lucky. The last one ; is a person that holds a certain power and in that moment of shutdown I experience because that’s where my system falls into in those violations… you feel like you’ve already lost,

How many remain silent because the perpetrator is a family member, partner, colleague, religious figure or someone in authority?

Especially in a small, interconnected community like Malta, speaking up can come at a tremendous cost.

And there’s another dimension I believe deserves exploration: which is spiritual warfare. When the third time struck I said ok, this runs DEEP. And God has been refining me to see and recognize psychic fragmentation, demonic infiltration and/possession, for my entire life - I just didn’t realize it, only really until last year:

Beyond the physiological and psychological effects of trauma, (which are detrimental) I believe we must also examine generational patterns through a quantum psychosomatic lens, spiritual discernment and the deeper meaning of what we carry.
And I had to assess all the areas within these patterns in my life that went beyond this lifetime & into generations.
In my level of work which - is not for everyone, I explore these layers through somatic healing and spiritual inquiry, trauma informed touch & pattern recognition all while recognising that abuse is NEVER the survivor’s fault.

Silence doesn’t mean violence never happened. We wear those scars for the rest of our time here.

We need accountability, which is why I believe police need to be trauma informed & also the respective testing units to refer people to trauma informed practitioners providing systems survivors can trust, and healing that honours the whole person.

I want you to know that I feel you deeply. This is one of the reasons I do what I do.
Your story matters, your rage matters, your feelings of injustice and dece by @embodied.with.tara

If you’re a s3xu@l assault survivor and maybe even possibly developed PCOS, endometriosis (even though of course that doesn’t have to be an inclusive variable to have either of those conditions) - however it isn’t unlikely.
A deeper subconscious layer of unsafety which disrupts the yin & yang harmony is what can play a role, as well as internalized rage, shame, anger and boundary violation that the body hasn’t fully processed and may I emphasize that - it doesn’t happen linearly. We are often asked to revisit certain things at different stages… in different seasons, slowly peeling back layers.

This is in fact the most ideal way rather than ripping the band aid off because the nervous system may not be able to fully cope with such intensity all at once and can leave one dysregulated for a very long time.

I had a three week recovery and am still recovering, feeling tender at times and in the beginning I didn’t want ANYONE applying form of touch over my womb. It didn’t feel “safe” to my body and the guarding continued.
I tended to my entire self care and really allowed my body to show me, to guide me and for me to slowly start to introduce various supportive tools with self touch, oils, salt baths and movement exercises that could bring in new neural input for the nervous system to register,

I don’t believe in simply resting and doing nothing. In these moments the body needs new input especially when it associated previous traumatic experiences as a protective prediction model.

You may not immediately want or be ready for receiving a bodywork session and I TOTALLY get that, this is why @feel.breathe.move_withshauna and myself created @thembodiedmovement, as it is a hub of integration tools in your pocket!

So happy to share this incredible episode of @embodied.with.tara where we talk about identifying problems in our life and that actually the problem is actually never the problem.

We could have gone on for hours, such a great conversation and I hope that this plants a seed with you to go explore the subject more.

There’s an irony to doing the work.

The symptom gets louder.the emotions get bigger.
and you wonder if you’re going backwards forwards or wherever the fuck-wards.

I also have and continue to experience symptoms and physiological representations present/become amplified too.

Now; I see symptoms as patterns under pressure: what once lived as information, adaptation, or survival actually has the resources to be felt and most importantly… alchemized.

i’m not void of this either. Recently, while working through one of my biggest wounds around deceit and sexual violation from the masculine, as well as standing in my worth + liberated self-expression in how I choose to live…I ended up in hospital.

Now for most, people will be fearful and retract.

i’m not claiming my emotional work caused it. it’s the last thing I want to experience but I won’t strip the meaning from my own body either. meaning doesn’t have to be mechanism to still hold meaning and there is so much our own logical mind cannot understand.

if you’re in your descent right now:
🩸 don’t rush to fix it, numb it, or rebuke it
🩸 give yourself time + space (and don’t fill it right away) inquire WHILE getting the support you need.
🩸 return to God, bodywork therapy, somatic therapy, nature, music, art, movement and healthy co-regulation whenever possible.
🩸 listen when your body needs medical care, support, expression, or rest without rushing to say “eurgh I’ve been this way for 2 weeks already”. Respectfully, shut it. 2 weeks in the grand perspective of your life years is nothing. It’s the ego affirming everything will crumble if you rest longer. God WILL support you. All you are asked to do is surrender and trust in these moments. Not numb or waste away. Align yourself through the above habits and trust.

At times, yes will feel lonely. you will be tempted to go back to the familiar. Solitude at times will be medicine but so is reaching out for help.

Do seek medical support when any symptom concerns you while holding the holistic lens.

If you’ve been in your own underworld recently or still are, comment ❤️‍🔥 below and share this with someone who needs it.

Damn.. I’m noticing the resistance to post this which is so interesting. Because dance & art has been my means of expression since such a young kid. But I’ve not allowed myself to truly be witnessed in it all to be honest so - here’s a start.

Let’s not seperate the art of science and the science of art… but let’s also not bring logic into a moment that needs none.

The Healing Arts blend the two worlds of science and sensing, feeling, knowing but I genuinely believe we have to question our own bias and even other adopted principles because they may have continued for centuries.. although whose to say they don’t evolve with you?

I believe some foundations stand the test of time for a reason but honestly, especially when I myself am moving through some deep cellular processes and recalibration - (because the more capacity I’ve created in order to hold, the deeper the layers I’ve signed up to traverse through. I won’t lie, it isn’t for the faint of heart)

Amidst the times the body is in deep reorganization, it is the best window of opportunity to be a witness to what emerges.

Ive learned and incorporated many different schools of knowledge ranging from Taoist techniques such as Qi Gong. the microcosmic orbit, ovarian breathing, Egyptian alchemy & strengthening the Ka body, Quantum morphogenetic physics tools such as spatial referencing & building the torus field, Primal Body Kinetic Hygiene - you name it; - they all fundamentally build off of the same/similar principles . I ensure to bridge them with a God-centred, Christ consciousness lens & dismiss anything that I don’t resonate with.

How do you like to prepare for your session?
Comment below I’d love to know 🙌🏼 ✨

When muscles and tissues lose their glide, healing still occurs...sure, but not optimally.
And if one doesn’t exercise in order to essentially tear and rebuild tissues in a way that enhances the healing capability of those tissues in a more aligned format rather than a rugged layering, this may cause an array of issues not just discomfort in the site of injury but in distal parts of the body.

This can feel like:
- tightness / like the area is being stretched
- inhibited range of motion
- shocks, pain, throbbing
- pins and needles / numbness
- fatigue
- compensation patterns in other parts of the body
- an adapted nervous system state due to the acquired posture

In our upcoming sessions, I’ll be adding the use of assisted tools for scar tissue release along with myofascial techniques and somatic experiencing.

We must also note that injuries can very much manifest from a psycho-somatic perspective. Think of athletes under high pressure who “suddenly” hurt themselves before a big game. There’s an energetic component to that feeding a belief + a story (a pattern).

Last but not least, our body also requires a specific voltage (mV) for healing and this is why I support myself and my own clients with nano technology minerals that aid in collagen reformation, tissue healing, electron transportation and overall energy, vitality and balance which almost always results in knocking away 80% of the other supplements thought you needed to take for all sorts of reasons/ symptoms.

I’m here to help restore life back into you so that you can live life to the best of your potential.

✨ My client instantly felt taller & processed emotions the day after our session too.
What if you’ve only been functioning at 60% & you don’t even know how good it can get!?

I work with international clients all the time and many fly down to work with me for immersions, a few sessions & an integration support, alongside my virtual symptom decoding & performance optimisation mentorship.

Some days, even with all the tools I have, I’m simply MAXED OUT & really need extra rest.

And I’ve had to learn that this is part of honoring my neurodivergent nervous system rather than constantly trying to override it.

Because processing itself requires resources & I’m processing different streams of information not limited to just surroundings.

Our nervous system is constantly receiving information & deciding what matters, what fades into the background and what needs our attention.

For neurodivergent people, that filtering can require more effort.

The electrical hum multiple conversations, light, clothing against our skin, touch, sensations. Your body moving through space.

Sometimes it can all remain present.

This is also why I find the vestibular system so fascinating. It helps us detect movement, gravity & where our head is in space, working alongside vision & proprioception to support balance and orientation.

It’s one part of a much larger sensory system, but a vital one.

I’d love for people to understand that regulation is not synonymous with stillness.

Sometimes my system needs silence, sleep and less sensory input. Other times it needs movement, rhythm, pressure, music, humming, nature, art, connection or prayer.

I can be completely overwhelmed by certain sounds and still blast my favourite song 10 times in a row 😅

Someone may be overwhelmed by unpredictable movement yet find rocking organising. Someone with ADHD may move or seek stimulation because it HELPS organise arousal AND attention. An autistic person may hum, rock or repeat familiar sensory experiences(STIM) because predictability can serve a function.

Please don’t judge, assume or impulsively ask:
“How do we stop this behaviour?”

Maybe we become curious:
“What is THIS nervous system trying to accomplish right now ?”

There is no single autistic, ADHD or AuDHD nervous system. Spectrum.

There are patterns, yes. But there is also an individual human being with their OWN sensory thresholds, physiology, environment + capacity.

Regulation = using MY tools to show up in the world.

And sometimes it means recognising I’ve reached capacity and genuinely restin by @embodied.with.tara

One of my favourite scenes from @thechosentvseries and such a powerful reminder as we walk the path.

I’ve probably cried more watching this series than anything else, and the biggest season of all is yet to come.

Watching it has helped me refine my focus and become more aware of the noise we absorb through entertainment. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I need a good show, or even Love Is Blind (mostly for the behavioural psychology btw).

There is something powerful about seeing Scripture brought to life. Something we’ve read many times can reach us differently when its humanity & emotion become visible.

And yet, I think this also asks something of us: discernment.

Our minds naturally form associations through what we repeatedly see. Give someone from Scripture a face, voice and personality & that portrayal can become the image we carry into the text right?

Jonathan Roumie has portrayed Jesus SO beautifully, and I imagine many now picture his face when reading the Gospels. I see it all over social media Bible verses.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with that. Humans have always used art, music and storytelling to contemplate the sacred. And this is better than most of what’s out there!

But a portrayal can turn into a projection.

So I believe it can supplement Scripture, inspire devotional curiosity & draw you back to the Word.

Perhaps one of the greatest ways to honour the Word is not simply to know it, quote it or feel moved by it, but to embody it:

How does this change the way I live?
How does this change the way I love?
How does this change how I respond when challenged?

What does it mean to embody what I say I believe?
This is why this scene brought me to tears because what Jesus told Thad is truly what those who say yes to the world’s no, must endure:

To allow the Word to become something lived and increasingly visible through the way we walk through this world. And on the other side?

Ha… 🕊️

Curious to hear your thoughts. 🤍🌹 by @embodied.with.tara
