This isn’t talk therapy.
And it’s more than acupuncture.

It’s hands-on, physiology-based retraining for women whose bodies have been carrying too much for too long.

⚡️ If you know something is off but nobody’s helped you understand why, this could be the missing piece.

Lab work is designed to catch disease.

It isn’t designed to catch a pattern of imbalance.

And chronic stress that you can’t deep breathe your way out of?

It lives in your body as a pattern.

⚡️ The muscle under your ribs is one of the first places it shows up.

Every time you anticipate the next thing that needs handling, it pulls up and tightens.

Your breath shortens and climbs into your chest.

Do that enough times, and the holding becomes your baseline.

🌀 That’s why you can wake at 3am with your mind already running through tomorrow.

Why you feel drained and wired at once, even on a slow weekend.

Your labs can look good while your body works overtime just to keep you upright.

‼️But it can’t keep up forever.

We see plenty of high-functioning women who’ve been told everything looks great, but under my palm, that muscle tells a different story.

And the symptoms that arise as a result are not something to power through and ignore.

They’re signs your nervous system needs tending.

⚡️ You’ve wanted to cry, scream, run away—and what did you do instead?

You powered through.

When an emotion feels like too much, we contract against it.

Your diaphragm constricts and breath shortens.

Your jaw clenches and brow furrows.

Your shoulders brace to hold it all in.

These reactions help you survive.

But every contraction leaves tension in the tissues, and energy stops flowing the way it’s meant to.

🫠 Hello, mood swings. Hello, exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix.

✨ But a profound shift happens when we tune into where we’re resisting and let that place soften.

Once there’s space, emotion starts to move. And once it moves, it can move out, teaching your nervous system a healthier pattern.

✨ It doesn’t always look pretty.

Sometimes it’s tears.

Sometimes it’s a long sigh, shaking, or a wave of tension before everything lets go.

Sometimes it’s a stretch or a primal sound you didn’t know was in you.

All the things we were taught to swallow and keep quiet.

‼️ This is why support matters so much.

With the right hands and a safe space, you learn to honor what your system is doing, instead of fighting it.

So you stop carrying yesterday’s stress into every moment of today.

You don’t have to hold it all in anymore.

Here’s what I know about you:

⚡️At some point in your life, you experienced stress that made you feel bad.

So you tried to fix it.

You pushed it down.

You distracted yourself from feeling.

And it happened again. And again.

And every time it happened, your stomach contracted. Maybe your jaw clenched, or you tightened around your heart.

⚡️Meanwhile, your mind went into hyperdrive, trying to think its way out of the situation.

And sometimes it found a way.

But when answers didn’t come quickly, it kept grasping, searching, and meanwhile your body stayed tight.

Over time, the tightness embedded itself in your tissues.

Your shoulders grew tense.

Your digestion might have responded.

Your sleep got disturbed, or your body got so tired from the mental load that you never felt rested, no matter how many hours you slept.

⚡️Stress became a habit.

And over time, you couldn’t think your way out of it anymore.

Even when things were good, your body still felt like something bad is around the next bend.

Instead of relaxing, you find yourself restless and uncomfortable.

✨If this is you, you’re in the right place.

Because we work directly with your body and the patterns in your nervous system so they can finally unwind.

⚡️ Stress gets stored as patterns in your body.

And there are three areas that contract first:

⚡️The solar plexus—tightening your diaphragm and shortening your breath in anticipation of the next thing that needs fixing.

⚡️The heart—extending through the sternum and shoulder girdle, trying to protect you from what has hurt you in the past, and tensing in reaction to the weight of obligation that you carry.

⚡️The throat—impacted every time you tighten your jaw, holding your reactions back, and extending around the back of the head through the occiput, where key cranial nerves flow, including the vagus nerve.

These are the centers of tension in most women’s bodies.

And these practiced patterns of contraction get reinforced every time you feel or anticipate stress.

At some point the holding stopped being a reaction.

Stress turns into your set point instead of a fleeting reaction.

🌀 That’s why you can be on vacation, finally somewhere beautiful, and still feel braced.

Why you lie down at night and your mind races ahead to tomorrow before your head even touches the pillow.

You’re not “bad” at relaxing.

Your nervous system just hasn’t had the support and permission it needs to let go.

👉 In fact, we see plenty of high-functioning women who have no idea how much they’ve been carrying until a hand rests there and something in them finally releases and unwinds.

Sometimes it’s a sigh.

Sometimes it’s a tremor or stretch.

Sometimes it’s tears she’s been holding back for years.

All are welcome here.

‼️Most “experts” are missing the point.

It’s not that the body is connected to the subconscious.

🤯The body IS the subconscious.

Every pattern you’ve ever learned to survive.

Every emotion that didn’t have a safe place to be felt and be expressed.

Every moment you held it together when everything in you wanted to fall apart.

It’s not just stored in your mind’s memory.

⚡️It’s stored in your tissue. Your fascia.

The way your shoulders round forward. The way your breath catches before it reaches your belly.

The way your jaw tightens before you even know you’re stressed.

‼️This is why talk therapy has a ceiling.

You can spend years understanding your patterns — naming them, tracing them, making meaning of them — and still feel them running your body like software you can’t see.

Because the pattern was never just a thought.

It was always happening in your body.

And physiological patterns don’t respond to insight alone.

They respond to direct, conscious, supported contact.

That’s what Applied Somatic Medicine™ makes possible.

Not just understanding what you’re holding.

Actually helping your body let it go.

Because understanding and managing stress is not the same thing as releasing it and repatterning your body’s response.

And that’s what we work on here.

⚡️ No one told you how heavy this would be.

You run the home and the career, and you remember everything for everyone.

The help that was supposed to come with all of it never showed up.

So you kept going.

🌀 It never lets up, so it stacks.

You learned to live in your head.

To plan your way through it and talk yourself down.

‼️And somewhere in there, you lost touch with what your body needs.

Stress has to be felt to leave. Not just managed.

Thinking it through only gets you so far.

✨ Your body needs to cry. To shake. To move.

When it can’t, the stress patterns itself into your tissues and your automatic reactions.

The jaw that stays clenched. The snap at someone you love.

👉Save this to share at your next brunch, because you might tell yourself it’s from sitting at your computer all day, but it’s not just that.

The tension patterns in your body tell a deeper story about what’s happening in your nervous system.

And the shoulders are one of the first places I look for clues.

⚡️Shoulders pulled forward?

You’ve been hurt before and you’re protecting your heart.

✨When we see this in patients, we work with the Heart chakra area and front of the chest.

⚡️Upper back rounded, face tilting down?

You’re carrying an emotional weight that feels too heavy for you to carry on your own.

You may also experience low moods or low self confidence.

✨When we see this, we usually start with the solar plexus and diaphragm.

⚡️Shoulders up by your ears?

You’re dealing with chronic somatic override, go-mode, stress, and trying to hold it all together without feeling into your emotions.

✨when we see this, we usually spend extra time on the SCM, scalenes in the neck, jaw, and might encourage the patient to experiment with making noises (her body’s been holding a lot in that it needs to let out).

In Applied Somatic Medicine™️, every tension line tells a story.

👉Save this one and share with your friends, because there’s an aspect of nervous system care that I don’t see anyone talking about.

✨It’s the fact that when we live in harmony with the season, we feel less stressed.

Until recently, medical traditions from around the world built their whole healing philosophy around this truth.

It’s only recently, in the age of analysis that we’ve forgotten, (because, to be blunt, it’s a complicated study, and there’s no money in it).

But the fact remains.

🌀Your body evolved to shift with the seasons.

It thrives with different types of food at different times of year.

It needs different activity levels as the weather and daylight shifts.

😵‍💫And when you live out of harmony with this cyclical truth—for example when you drink smoothies even when the weather is cold, or try to push through on the same amount of sleep in winter as you had in summer—your body has to work harder in order to function properly.

This extra work causes an underlying level of stress that can throw your nervous system into survival mode, especially if you’re already feeling overstretched.

So honor that impulse to get cozy, get support, drink tea, and say no to the extras.

Your nervous system will thank you.

👉✨Want to know how much stress your nervous system is ready to release?

👉About 90% of the women who come to see us have this same pattern.

They’re exhausted but they keep going.

They spend most of their time in their heads and feel disconnected from their bodies.

And they’re all pushing through and being fueled by a level of stress that’s not sustainable or healthy for their bodies.

And it’s having an impact.

⚡️That’s what tenderness below your ribs means.

Because part of the physiological stress response is to contract muscles, and specifically the diaphragm.

This changes your breath from the deep restorative breathing that helps digestion, hormone flow, and healthy physiology, to the short and shallow breaths your body needs to fight for survival.

⚡️And when your diaphragm is chronically contracted from stress, it means your nervous system needs a deeper level of support so it can finally release.

That’s what we work on here.

👉Comment QUIZ to find out how much stress has habituated itself into your nervous system.

We can’t wait to see where this takes you.

🚨Spoiler alert🚨

All of your symptoms are linked.

⚡️Here’s what’s happening:

Your body was designed to handle short bouts of stress brilliantly.

But stress has habituated its way into your nervous system.

And when you spend all of your time in your head, problem solving your way through life, bracing for the next blow?

⚡️That stress starts to impact the way your body feels and functions.

I’m not saying every symptom is caused only by stress.

But I am saying that stress makes symptoms worse.

‼️And here’s what nobody’s told you:

Stress management isn’t the same as stress release.

Management is another top down problem to be solved by your already overtaxed mind.

✨But release?

That happens in the body.

But it needs somatic support to get there.

And that’s what we work on here.

👉Comment QUIZ to find out what level of stress your nervous system is working through.
