DON’T MIND ME I JUST RAN THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON AND RAISED OVER $17,000 FOR @michaeljfoxorg !!

I can’t promise I kept this jolly demeanor for all 26.2 miles, but man, what a feeling. Thinking about the months of training and over 120 people including friends from all over, family, coworkers and more who supported my campaign, I’m so incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on in person, over text, and online, I couldn’t have made it across the finish line without each and every one of you 🫶

Let’s run the MARATHON again! 🦊 I’m gonna get real with y’all - Parkinson’s disease SUCKS. It sucks more than running 26.2 miles so, I suppose that’s the least I can do. If you know my incredible mother, @sharburnz, you know that even as her diagnosis has progressed, she’s gotten even more sunshine-y and found meaning in every moment ☀️

From powering through a workout on her most cramped-up day to dancing barefoot in the grass to shake off symptoms, even when she’s feeling her worst, she brings light and joy to me and everyone around her. If we can come together to fund research to make her feel better, that’s more than worth a few hours of running.

More than 6 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson’s — the second most common neurological disorder. In the United States, approximately 60,000 new cases will be diagnosed this year alone. There is no cure, but there is some brilliant science in the works, and my running shoes are here to support it. Two years ago I set out to raise just $3k, and was flabbergasted by the generosity of friends, family and my entire community that helped me raise over $15,000 😮 With your help, I can make an even bigger impact this year (and you don’t even have to put in the miles).
