Happy World Space Week! ✨ The @pokemon x @europeanspaceagency had me thinking about cards I have in my collection that remind me of space, so here’s a few I pulled out this morning.

Besides Rayquaza, the Pokémon I collect are pretty terrestrial and don’t have a lot of spacey vibes. Most of Rayquaza’s cards don’t show it out in space anyways, since it lives in the planet’s ozone layer instead.

My favorite of all of these is 100% the Salamence and Bagon. Not only are they featured in Mossdeep City with the Space Center in the background, it represents Bagon’s dream to fly juxtaposed with the spaceship that someday will fly too.

There’s also lots of other fond memories in these cards! Rayquaza was from the McDonalds Happy Meal collab a few years back, I pulled the Arceus V alt art myself on one of my very first Instagram Lives, I watched @playforsecond pull several of the gorgeous Jirachi SIRs which he kindly sent to me, Deoxys is for my kawayoo collection, and Lugia was a freebie from a very kind Japanese card seller on eBay! Almost every card I collect has a story. Pretty sure I pulled the Claydol and Minior myself too ✨

I wanted to try something new! Reels take a LOT of effort to make and I really miss just posting pictures of cards. But I find I also put a lot of information in my captions that just doesn’t get read.

Recently, there’s been a post going around showing the often missed Geodude cameo in the Mewtwo Vstar from Crown Zenith. But did you also know there are THREE Digletts too? Here’s all the cameos besides Mewtwo and Charizard, plus an addition cool detail I don’t think we see in any other Charizard card printed!

Would love your feedback on this style of post too. Do you like regular card pictures like the last one here or is text okay? I would like to do more series based on themed cameos and cards to collect!

Anyways… who wins this fight? 👀

PHEW okay now I actually talk about these cards 😂 FIRST! I’ve uploaded a whole vlog on Youtube of me getting this whole set (live at noon CST)! SECOND! I LOVE that this subset was included within the 30th celebration set. It reminds me of the Pikachu V-union card we got for the 25th, but this time each artists gets their own card instead of sharing one. Some old artists, some new. The variety is truly incredible and makes you appreciate the job Pokémon does to scout a variety of art styles and mediums. My personal favorite is the USGMEN Pika that has been turned into a meme lately. He’s just so CUTEEEE and fat 😭❤️ But honestly I love all of them!

I know I already asked for your favorite Pokemon, but I’d also like to know your thoughts on these Pikas and which is your fav! ⚡️

Rayquaza > Kyogre > Groudon (sorry 😂)

I pulled this card from Japanese Storm Emeralda, but it will be available in English Delta Reign in November! This was one of my chase IRs of the set. I wasn’t able to pull the Groudon IR from Paradox Rift despite opening several boxes of it, so getting to finally pull this one myself was so exciting and a wonderful birthday present from @playforsecond 🥰

This artwork is by Ryota Murayama, who is no stranger to drawing Groudon, creating the amazing EX of it in XY Primal Clash. Murayama’s EX cards from this era including Kyogre, Rayquaza, and Hoopa are some of my favorites and I FINALLY recently picked up the Kyogre! More on that later ❤️ You may also recognize their art from the ReshiZard tag team promo, Charizard V alt art, Sleepy Mew Galarian Gallery, and most recently the Salamence SIR from the 30th! Dramatic scenery seems to be a common theme among these and is why I love these cards ✨

Are you looking forward to pulling anything from Delta Reign? I can’t wait for the Kyogre ETB promo! And the Rayquazas… duh 🐉

SO CUTE ❤️🥹 One of my first Pikachu’s from the 30th Celebration set was created by Asako Ito! Currently she is a very popular artist to collect for the TCG and even I have a tiny curated collection of some of my favorite crocheted works of hers. This sleepy Pikachu represents exactly how I’m feeling today with the grey weather! I personally love the attention to detail on the backgrounds of these cards. They seem somewhat flat in contrast to the actual Pokemon subject and really give them a spotlight. Mixed media artists are something I REALLY want to see more of in the TCG, and I’m excited to see more of Ito’s work in the future!

Mood today knowing 30th anniversary releases tomorrow ✨ This absolutely incredible Tomokazu Komiya art from Storm Emeralda/Delta Reign might be one of my new favorite IRs. I don’t have any particularly strong feelings about Kecleon, but the personality that comes through with this art makes it seem like a much more unique Pokémon! The colors are just so fun and while I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, I LOVE busy backgrounds where the Pokémon blends in 🥰

There were other songs I wanted to put with this card… but let’s just say we’re grooving together 😂

Happy Gible Community Day!! 🦈❤️

I honestly kind of forgot about it because I feel like there’s always a Gible community day BUT I need a shiny Mega Garchomp in Go! Shiny wise, I think Gible and Gabite have GREAT shinies and Mega Garchomp’s magenta shiny is one of my favorites. But regular Garchomp… and Mega Z… why 😭 Regardless, Garchomp has had TWO shiny cards, one from Hidden Fates and one from Plasma Freeze! I finished collecting the Hidden Fates shiny evolution line early this year in 10s and I don’t think ever showed them off!

My small Gible army says hi too 🤭 Hope you’re having a good weekend and good luck with community day shinies if you’re playing! ✨✨✨

18 years ago, Pokémon Platinum released in Japan. While I never played the game as a kid, it’s something I plan to do EVENTUALLY! I had Diamond, but I did help some neighborhood kids with their journey through the distortion world back when it was released 🙂‍↕️ Giratina is one of my favorite legendaries, and it really shows that TCG artists love its design too. The Kanda Lost Origin alt art is THE card that got me back into collecting. I’ll never have it with the prices it’s at right now, but I can at least appreciate this other stunner of a card from Crown Zenith by AKIRA EGAWA. I really wish we got more of these gold alt arts, but alas their rarity also makes them special ✨ (not to mention the Giratina Vstar deck was CRAZY good!)

At Worlds/XP I had the wonderful opportunity to meet @bananajerky ! I started collecting his cards last year and it’s been a fun, casual artists collection. The colors and composition of each artwork makes these cards feel very happy 🥰 …and this marks the second time I’ve met a TCG artist as Garchomp 😅

Jerky illustrated the Tropius art rare from Paldea Evolved, creating Tropius’s very first “full” art work! It’s my favorite of his art works (I’m biased… it’s my favorite Pokémon) and I’ve collect it in many languages. Sadly, this card was one of the few NOT on exhibit in the art museum for the featured TCG artists 😭 I showed up to represent it though 🥲

I wouldn’t have had this opportunity without @steeltrainer_cam . Cam and I became friends a few months ago and he has shown me endless kindness and generosity. His friend (@keynentho ) won the lottery for Jerky’s autograph session, and Cam connected us so I could go as the +1, simply to meet and say hello to Jerky which was still an honor for me! We were actually trying to get the poster made out to Cam, but because it had to be the name of one of the badge holders present we had to make a split second decision on who’s name was going to be on the poster. I am eternally grateful to my new friend Kenan for offering it to me and my collection 😭❤️ We met so many new friends in line too, it was overall a reminder of why the Pokémon community is so great 🥹

The coolest memento of Worlds ❤️ Paradise Resort is given to qualifying competitors for the Pokemon World Championship. While I did NOT get anywhere near qualifying (nor tried), I had some friends selling their promos. I started creating TCG content and playing when I moved to the SF Bay Area, so to be invited by @pokemon (#free_access) as a Creator 4 years later was a total full circle moment. So to add the card that represents San Francisco if it was in the Pokemon universe to my collection? A dream!

The background of this art is Lombard Street which is a very famous street in the Russian Hill area. It was designed in 1922 to make the grade of the hill less steep for cars. Now, cars are able to climb much steeper grades and there are far steeper hills in SF. And I can confirm… there were SERIOUS hills we had to climb to get up here. We ended up at the top and got to walk all the ways to the bottom. The architecture and landscaping with hydrangeas in full bloom was really special, even though it wasn’t my first visit.

While it’s fun to find game locations in the cards, it’s even more fun when a card is based on a real world location ❤️ With next year’s Worlds being in Singapore, I’m excited to see what they feature!

WELCOME MEGA GARCHOMP Z TO REGULATION M-C OF CHAMPIONS!! ✨

In a way, I keep calling game news with my cosplays 💅 Before there were any whispers of Mega Garchomp being added to Champions, I knew I wanted to try my hand at making the Z Mega as a cosplay for this year’s Worlds. It took a LOT of advance planning, but I LOVE how it turned out!

For this cosplay, I learned how to sew clothes! In the past I had only really made accessories - things like headpieces, tails, etc. that just worked with what I had in my closet. This time I made the entire top from scratch using a base pattern I completely changed to fit how I wanted it to! Clothes are hard because they have to be equal length for sleeves and hems… and I will admit I did not measure a single thing making this. There were a lot of physics problems to solve to, like how to get the sleeves to lay nice and not be too floppy, how to attach a heavy tail to a belt and make it not sag, but also make sure it had motion to sway. And the stripes… and all the details 😵‍💫 I learned so many new techniques in this project and am really proud of it ❤️

A few thank you’s are in order! First to @bigrigcreates who designed and 3D printed the head pieces so I could attach them to a headband. Which @playforsecond and his dad did LOL A big shout out to Junior for helping me take pictures, carrying my stuff, and being a great cosplay handler while I pretended I was a dragon for the day ❤️ And thank you to @capnaustin who got some nice pictures of me because I almost forgot to take some standalones! Oh, and @pokemon for the #free_access so I had a little money saved to buy all the materials 🤭

I will be wearing this again to another event, probably NAIC in June 2027. I had a blast with it and can’t wait to become Garchomp once again 🥰🦈 I also know SO many pictures were taken while I was in this cosplay, but I don’t have them 😭 If we took pics together send them to meeeee! ❤️❤️

That being said… what should I make next? 👀
