Song Title: Taxi Driver - Bobby Benson
Re-arranged by: @ksticksglobal2
_____________________________
The classic Nigerian highlife song “Taxi Driver” was originally performed by Bobby Benson and His Combo, led by Nigerian highlife pioneer Bobby Benson. It was recorded/released in the early 1950s and became one of the classic Nigerian highlife hits

Seun Rere” was recorded by Christy Essien-Igbokwe and released in 1981 on her album Ever Liked My Person?.

The title is commonly explained as “do good / be good”, and the song is essentially a conversation between a mother and her child, centered on good behavior, obedience, responsibility and living a morally upright life.

The title is Nigerian Pidgin for “Water has no enemy.” by Fela Kuti.

At the surface, Fela is simply explaining how indispensable water is: you need it to wash, cook, cool yourself down, raise children, and generally live. But there's a much deeper message underneath.

Yes. Nigeria’s present national anthem is “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.” It is actually Nigeria’s original independence-era anthem, brought back into official use on May 29, 2024, replacing “Arise, O Compatriots.” The National Assembly’s current website also identifies it as the Nigerian National Anthem.

🇳🇬 “Nigeria, We Hail Thee”

The anthem was first adopted when Nigeria became independent in 1960. The lyrics were written by Lillian Jean Williams, while the music was composed by Frances Berda. It remained the national anthem until 1978, when it was replaced by “Arise, O Compatriots.”

🇳🇬🔥 **The rhythm of Nigeria!** 🥁

Nothing hits like the sound of the drums when Nigerians come together to celebrate! From the first beat to the last, we brought the energy, culture, and Naija spirit to life. 🇳🇬

**Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!** 🎉
One nation. One people. One rhythm. 🥁🔥
