Some days, like today, I have to remind myself why I started this weight loss journey in the first place. Climbing the scale this morning and seeing an increase literally gave me a panic attack. But instead of dressing up and going out for my morning run, I called Iquo Uwah to rant about it, then quietly climbed back into bed. Instead of fasting today, I ate about 3,000 calories worth of food, including cake, from the comfort of my bed. Am I proud, no, but am I happy, definitely yes! Some days, I don’t feel like exercising. Some days, healthy food annoys me. Some days, the only lifting I want to do is lifting spoon to mouth while watching movies all day long. But I’m learning not to give up on myself. One bad day will not cancel all my progress. One missed workout is not the end of the world. Tomorrow is another day to drink water, mind my business, move my body, and continue pretending to enjoy cucumber and boiled eggs so Doctor Of The Future doesn't judge me. At this point, 25kg down, I just want to be healthy, strong, and able to run up my stairs without fear. If your weight has never been a medical emergency, you don't know how lucky you are. Mine has been, and I don't want to be in that situation ever again. So if today wasn’t perfect, I’ll rest, laugh about it, and start again tomorrow. But one thing is sure, I’m still on this journey… and I’m not giving up! To everyone struggling with this new lifestyle like me, hang in there, It will eventually become a part of us. I turned 40 days back… from last year @docstephanie and I planned to throw an elaborate luxury birthday party which would have been her doing all the work anyway. She left me 6 months ago to be with the Father and if you know me well, you would know how intertwined I was with Uyi so there wasn’t any zeal in me to throw a 40th party for myself but Abba was insistent on me partying with Him in worship, I stalled till less than a week to my 40th when He led me again to @teapartyby191 and I reached out to them. Despite the short notice, they created the perfect ambience I visualized worshiping God in. It was the most perfect intimate worship party ever. Their attention to details, their promptness to service delivery, the excellent customer service, the patience and the willingness to help even with other services they don’t even offer just to satisfy me as their client made me understand why Abba chose them for me to use outside having the right decor pieces and colour theme. Thankful for @ememeverest for how patient and supportive she was in this time making sure I brought this to vision. I appreciate you Sis. by @ememeverest
