When the mission reaches morning television, you know the work is speaking for itself. 📺🤝🏾 Earlier this week, our President @terrelldsmith sat down with @fox26houston to represent Emerging 100 Houston speaking to the mentorship, leadership development, and community impact work this organization has been driving across Houston since 2013. Introducing the E100 Houston Leadership Accelerator, a members-only, quarterly development experience built exclusively for the brotherhood of Emerging 100 Houston. I’ve given this toast before. This is the first time I got to pin the men I was toasting. 🥂🤝🏾 This month carried weight for @emerging100htx . We brought our gala back after three years away. Our chapter showed up in force, our largest delegation in chapter history, at the 40th Annual National Conference of @100blackmen . But it all started with the moment that mattered most: pinning our incoming class. For the second year in a row, I had the honor of raising the toast. For the first time as President, I administered the oath and personally pinned every man in. Forty-two men. The largest class our chapter has ever welcomed. Over the past few months, I sat down with every one of them, one on one. Twenty-plus hours of direct conversation. Heard where they came from, what they’ve carried, and what brought them to this work. Forty-two different stories that all led to the same room. Then I watched their families and loved ones find their seats in the room. Mothers, fathers, mentors, friends who showed up just to witness it. That part never gets old. This wasn’t only an induction. It was a record of the sacrifice and the people who shaped these men long before they ever heard the name Emerging 100. To the Class of 2026: welcome to the brotherhood. The pin is small. The charge behind it is not. Lead with excellence. Serve with impact. Build something worth leaving behind. June 6 — excellence filled the room, and Houston’s young professionals proved it.** 🏆✨ After a three-year hiatus, Emerging 100 Houston brought our flagship gala back as the Emerging Icons Honors Award Ceremony & Gala. Sold out. We honored Houston’s rising young professionals, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, and community impact leaders for their leadership, service, and example — with a keynote from Congressman Christian Menefee that set the tone for the night.
