I just had to share this incredible moment from SuperCamp 2026!Standing there with the mic, I looked out at all these amazing young athletes, each one holding a brand new pair of kicks. The smiles on their faces - it was absolutely priceless! But you know what? It's not really about the shoes. Don't get me wrong, fresh sneakers are always great, but this was about so much more. These shoes represent opportunity. They're like a symbol of everything we're trying to do at SuperCamp - making sure every single kid has a fair shot at chasing their dreams.I want to give a huge shoutout to all our sponsors and donors who made this possible. You are the real MVPs! Because of you, these kids are stepping into a brighter future, one pair of shoes at a time. This is what SuperCamp is all about - bringing people together, lifting each other up, and showing these young ones that they have a whole community in their corner. When we do that, there's no telling how far they'll go!To all the campers out there, wear those shoes with pride! You've got the power to make your dreams a reality, and we'll be right there cheering you on every step of the way.I'm just so grateful to be a part of this. Together, we're changing lives and building a better future for these kids. One SuperCamp, one pair of shoes, one dream at a time. Now, I'd love to hear from you! If you've been to SuperCamp, either as a camper, parent, or volunteer, share your experience with us in the comments below. What was your favorite moment? How did SuperCamp impact you or your child? Tomorrow changes the rhythm of the gym.The doors open. The first kids walk in.And SuperCamp is back. You can never fully predict how the day will unfold, but you always feel it before it starts. The energy. The anticipation. The idea that a lot of kids are about to step into a space where they get to compete, learn, connect, and just be themselves. Some will walk in confident right away. Some will need a little time to settle in.Some will quietly observe before they fully join in.And by the end of the day, most of them won’t be in the same place they started. That’s usually how it goes. Not because everything becomes perfect. But because they’re given a space where they’re allowed to try, adjust, and keep going without feeling judged for learning in progress.Tomorrow is about those moments. The small wins. The new friendships. The confidence that builds quietly throughout the day without anyone forcing it.We’re ready for another day of SuperCamp.SuperCamp is tomorrow📍 North Surrey Secondary⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMBe part of what makes this possible.Volunteer or donate through the link in bio.#SuperCamp2026 #JumpshotGenerosity #YouthSports #BasketballCommunity #YouthDevelopment by @emersonmurraysenior

“For some kids, this meant more than people realize.”A fresh pair of shoes. A proper fit. Something that feels like it was given with intention, not just handed out.And for some of them, it’s the first time in a while they stepped onto the court feeling fully ready. Not adjusting. Not worrying. Not feeling like they’re missing something compared to everyone else.Just ready to play.It might seem small from the outside, but for a kid, that shift is real.Because how you show up matters. When a kid feels prepared, they move differently. They participate more freely. They stop holding back as much because they’re not thinking about what’s lacking anymore. They can just focus on being part of the game. And that changes how they carry themselves too.More confidence in how they walk onto the court.More comfort when they’re around teammates.More willingness to try, even when things get challenging. It’s not just about performance. It’s about perception. How they see themselves in that moment. How they feel about where they fit in.How much they believe they belong there. And that belief can carry far beyond the gym.Into how they approach new spaces.New challenges.New opportunities in life. That’s why moments like this matter so much at SuperCamp.Because sometimes, the difference between hesitation and confidence is something as simple as feeling prepared and included from the very start. And when that happens, it opens the door for growth in a way that’s hard to measure but easy to see. That’s what we witnessed here.SuperCamp is back on June 20, 2026📍 North Surrey Secondary⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMBe part of what makes this possible.Volunteer or donate through the link in bio. That’s what we’re building at Jumpshot Generosity.#SuperCamp2026 #JumpshotGenerosity #SinghFoundation #AccessForAll #ConfidenceBuilding by @emersonmurraysenior

“By then, they were fully locked in.”At the start of the day, it’s usually different.A bit of hesitation. Some figuring things out.A few kids still watching before fully jumping in.You can see it in how they move early on.More careful decisions.Slower reactions.Thinking before every pass, every shot, every play. But as the hours go on, you can actually see it change in real time. The energy picks up first. Then the effort. Then the communication starts to sound different.Calling for the ball earlier.Talking on defense without being reminded.Encouraging each other after mistakes instead of going quiet. And once that starts happening, everything shifts. They start running harder without being told.Competing without holding back the same way.Playing like they trust themselves a little more than they did earlier in the day.It doesn’t feel forced. It builds naturally through the reps, the interactions, and the environment around them. And somewhere in all that movement and noise, something important shows up.Confidence.Not the loud kind. Not the showy kind. The kind you notice in how freely they play. The kind that shows up when they stop overthinking and just react. The kind that grows when they realize they can keep up, even when things get intense. You can feel the gym shift with it too.More flow.More connection.More kids playing like they actually believe they belong there. That’s usually the moment we’re looking for at SuperCamp. Not perfection. Not flawless execution.Just that point where a kid stops holding back and starts trusting themselves more than they did at the beginning of the day.Because once that happens, everything else starts to follow. That’s the kind of growth that sticks. And that’s what we value most at Jumpshot Generosity.SuperCamp is back on June 20, 2026📍 North Surrey Secondary⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMBe part of what makes this possible.Volunteer or donate through the link in bio.#SuperCamp2026 #JumpshotGenerosity #SinghFoundation #Competition #YouthSports by @emersonmurraysenior

“It’s not really about the gift.”At least not in the way people usually think about it.It’s about what happens in that moment when a kid realizes it was prepared just for them. The pause before they open it.The smile that slowly shows up when they start to understand it’s theirs. The way they look around a little differently after, like something just clicked. It’s simple, but it means something.Feeling noticed.Feeling appreciated.Feeling like they were part of the day, not just someone passing through it.For a lot of kids, that feeling doesn’t come from big moments. It comes from small ones like this.A bag handed to them with care.A gift placed in their hands without expectation.A reminder that someone thought about them outside of just the drills and games. And you can see the difference right away. Some hold onto it tightly. Some open it quietly and just smile to themselves. Some immediately show their friends before doing anything else. But all of them understand it in their own way.Because underneath it all, it’s not about the item inside the bag. It’s about being seen. It’s about being included in something where people didn’t have to do anything extra, but chose to anyway. You notice it in how they carry themselves afterward too.A little more open.A little more relaxed.A little more willing to step into the next activity without hesitation. And for many of these kids, that kind of moment stays longer than anything else from the day.Long after the gym is packed up.Long after the final drill.Long after SuperCamp is over. That feeling of being remembered doesn’t fade quickly. That’s what moments like this represent at SuperCamp.SuperCamp is back on June 20, 2026📍 North Surrey Secondary⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMBe part of what makes this possible.Volunteer or donate through the link in bio. That’s what we’re building at Jumpshot Generosity.#SuperCamp2026 #JumpshotGenerosity #SinghFoundation #CommunityCare #YouthSupport by @emersonmurraysenior

“You could tell the kids felt comfortable around him.”No pressure. No distance. No feeling like they had to act a certain way or say the right thing.Just real conversations happening naturally.Kids asking questions without hesitation.Laughing in between moments.Listening closely, not because they were told to, but because it felt genuine. That kind of connection doesn’t come from a stage or a spotlight. It happens in the in-between moments.Standing near the court while drills are happening.Sitting down with kids during breaks.Talking with them like they matter, not like they’re just an audience. And when that happens, you can feel the shift.Kids open up a little more. They stop holding back as much. They engage differently when they feel respected and seen.It becomes less about formality and more about presence. And that’s what stood out here. Not a big speech or a structured moment.Just someone showing up in a way that made kids feel comfortable being themselves. Those are the moments that stay with them longer than anything else.Because for a lot of young people, feeling heard and respected can change how they show up in everything else they do.How they learn. How they compete. How they carry themselves after the day is over. That’s why moments like this matter so much at SuperCamp. It’s not only about basketball. It’s about creating an environment where kids feel safe enough to connect, ask questions, and be themselves without hesitation.SuperCamp is back on June 20, 2026📍 North Surrey Secondary⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMBe part of what makes this possible.Volunteer or donate through the link in bio. That’s what we’re building at Jumpshot Generosity.#SuperCamp2026 #JumpshotGenerosity #SinghFoundation #Leadership #YouthConnection Community by @emersonmurraysenior

“You helped create the kind of environment kids remember.”Supportive.Encouraging.Welcoming.That feeling doesn’t happen accidentally. It’s not something that just appears when the doors open or when the first drill starts. It’s built in the small decisions people make throughout the day.A volunteer stepping in to help a kid who looks unsure.Someone offering a quick word of encouragement after a missed shot.Making sure no one is standing alone on the sidelines for too long.Checking in without being asked. Those are the things that shape the experience more than people realize.Because kids might not always remember every drill or every score. But they remember how a place felt. They remember if they felt included or left out. They remember if someone noticed them when they were quiet. They remember if they felt supported when things got a little difficult. And at SuperCamp, that feeling came from you. From volunteers who showed up not just to help, but to care. Some stepped in with energy and direction. Some stayed more in the background making sure everything ran smoothly. Some naturally connected with the kids through conversation and presence alone.Different ways of showing up.Same impact. You helped turn a basketball gym into something more than that.A space where kids could try, fail, learn, and keep going without feeling judged.A space where they could relax enough to be themselves. And that doesn’t happen without intention. It happens because people choose to care in real, consistent ways throughout the day.So thank you.For your time. For your patience. For your presence. And for the way you showed up for the kids.It mattered more than it probably looked in the moment. And it’s exactly what makes SuperCamp what it is.SuperCamp is back on June 20, 2026📍 North Surrey Secondary⏰ 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMBe part of what makes this possible.Volunteer or donate through the link in bio. That’s what we’re building at Jumpshot Generosity.#SuperCamp2026 #JumpshotGenerosity #Volunteers #Mentorship #CommunityImpact by @emersonmurraysenior
