The little girl who picked up a softball 14 years ago would be pretty happy with how this story ended.Thank you, Dad, for all of the hours you spent at the field hitting me ground balls, throwing front toss, and catching me while sitting on the bucket. I truly would not be half the player and person I am today without you.Thank you, Mom, for sacrificing so much to watch your little girl do what she loves. Thank you for all the early mornings and late nights spent preparing for long weekends at the ballpark.Thank you, Nona and Pies, for attending nearly every game since T-Ball. Looking up into the stands and seeing both of you smiling back at me was always my biggest motivation.Thank you to all of my past and present teammates and coaches. Every practice, every rep, and every ounce of effort was for y’all. I love you endlessly, and there is nobody I would have rather spent all these years with than you.Thank you, softball, for giving me friendships that will last a lifetime and memories I will never forget. You taught me lessons that I will carry with me forever.
