Last week I had again an unforgettable layover in Japan 🩵❄️🩵 this time my new Japanese friends showed me their favorite places. And the encounter with the fearless japanese sarow, known as the national symbol, just crowned the already eventful days. 👑🤗

If I don't see it, I won't believe that turquoise has such wonderful shades. My phone's camera can't even reproduce that almost surreal range of colours 🩵
But how did I end up in Zanzibar? Thanks to my many flying hours, the company gave me another six days off. And so "purely by chance" I looked at what flights we had on the first day off, so it quickly became clear that after the three trips to Japan and quite a few hikes in the Alps, I would fly to Zanzibar 🙃 all five days turned out to be full of adventures, but swimming with dolphins (not in an aquarium) or admiring the many shades of turquoise, celebrating the sunset with the locals in the evening was an experience for a lifetime 🩵🐬🩵

This is the energy that I get when I am in the mountains 💪 and this is one of my favourite hikes in Switzerland. We started at S-charl, then Fuorcla Sesvenna, Sesvenna Hut, Val d'Uina, and Sur-En. It's about 25 km long hike and has around 1100 m elevation, but every step is a miracle 🥰

Short layover, big FUN! 💃🛶. This was in Chicago in June, one of the hottest days with 35°C degrees. But kayaking on the river just between the skyscrapers? It was soo cool 😍 and I was more than happy that one of my colleagues joined me 😍

Let's wrap up the coolest layover ever! 🇯🇵🏔🇯🇵

When I was in Japan two weeks ago, Mt. Fuji was calling me, but it was too early to climb it. Actually, it was too early now too, because the mountain is not officially open for climbing, only in July and August. Since I wasn't really attractetd spending a day with 2,000 people on Japan's holy mountain, and the meteorologists had promised a day of perfectly stable weather, so I started making plans: but soon realised that there was no real information about an off-season climb. So I packed up all the necessary mountaineering gear, all my courage and set off. And how well I did! 💃 Everything was perfect! ☀️

Luckily I met four very sympathetic climbers at the top of the crater, so I got a real summit photo too 🥰
