Let’s play where’s Waldo (💁🏼‍♀️) SO SO SO beyond happy to have been a part of this amazing show. Newsies was unfamiliar to me when we started rehearsals, but now has become an unforgettable experience. Happy 3rd anniversary to my favorite guy. Our marriage has grown so much the past few years. I’ve grown to love Kaleb in many different ways. I’m so thankful for him. We’re creating a life we dream of together and I’m so proud of us. Also I love that he just puts up with me and does shoots like this one from last year!!

A moment of honesty: This shoot took it out of me.

I was 3 months postpartum and coming out of some intense depression. I was on the up but doing a shoot like this I felt super vulnerable and worried about how they would turn out.

I’ve talked about body image before too, which has been tough my whole life. I still struggle because my body has changed so much since becoming a mom but I’m learning (emphasis on learning) how to accept it the way it is and to appreciate it for what it can do.

And I think I’ll look back on this shoot and remember all these feelings and I’ll think about how I’ve learned that with postpartum (and really with anything in life), you just have to roll with the punches.

And I will say that I’m glad that I stepped out of my post baby cave and out of my comfort zone to shoot again. They turned out so beautiful and I’m learning (again emphasis on learning) to not have as much of a perfectionist outlook on things in my life because it’s been taking a lot of joy and peace away from me. We all deserve to have those reassuring feelings in us.

I thought this audio was funny but also fitting because as women we go through so much. BUT we can come out on top and feel good about ourselves if we take the time (when we’re ready) to work on ourselves 💪 We got this!!!
