It’s about time I introduce myself 🫶🏼🦔🌸

I never expected my last reel to blow up, but there’s now 1000+ more of you, and bearing in mind I was looking to just inspire 1 or 2 people, this is incredible.

I’ve learned so much already & I’m only getting started.

Maybe this will become a series where we can learn together or maybe you’re just here to be inspired.

with all the wildfires and sadness around the future of our world, I felt the need to do something

I have a TINY garden, yet so much of my local wildlife relies on it. Humans built on habitats to build ourselves homes, so I believe we have a right to protect what we can.

By finding small ways to care for the nature around us, I believe we can make positive change in the world, even if the results are only seen locally.

I wish I could do more to help, but just inspiring one person to look after their little corner of the world is enough for me right now.

Anyone else feeling a little run down lately?
Slowly getting back to myself, with help from @simpleskin’s new Purify+ cleanser and Hydrate+ moisturiser.

It’s only a small step, but just doing one ‘normal’ thing that can bring you joy is such a great way to start feeling ‘you’ again.

Since losing Hedgie and talking about it on here, I’ve had a few rescues reach out to me. So I thought, in memory of Hedgie & to shed light on the importance of the work these incredible centres are doing for wild animals (especially hedgehogs), I would share a few favourites in areas that mean a lot to me.

Knowing & supporting local wildlife rescues is SO important and something I’ll always talk about. The more I’ve learned, the more I’ve realised just how much they rely on volunteers, donations and people simply knowing they’re there.

They are run by people changing their everyday lives to put wildlife first - and they deserve all the support they can get 🫶🏼🦔

A volunteer-led rescue caring for sick, injured and vulnerable hedgehogs across Warwickshire. This rescue helped me when I found Hedgie in a bad state & I got to hear about the 37+ hedgehogs in their care.

Absolutely in awe of the people who work here & what they’re doing for hedgehogs <3

Nothing ever prepares you for the heartache you feel when a baby bird dies in your garden. Watching the mum and dad search endlessly for their baby killed a part of me. I really thought they’d never come back, despite living here and raising their babies here year on year. I think I just felt like I’d failed them.

(and I cried so much, my neighbour had to come around to give me a hug)

But I am so grateful for how forgiving nature is.

I could never have done any more for that baby fledgling, and in my gut, I think they know that too.

Nature can be cruel, but it can also be so beautiful.

Forever looking out for the little sparrows that call my garden home 🫶🏼🪶

one day you’ll be in a pub, meeting your boyfriend’s best friends & before you know it, those friends will start to feel like family to you, then one day, two of those friends will fall so deeply in love that they get married & ask you to officially witness their wedding. Then, you’ll decide it’s a good idea to create a handmade embroidered portrait of them for their wedding gift. 4 months later, 2 days before the wedding, you’ll still be stitching it & wondering if this was still a great idea

Little moments I never want to forget 🌾

The best part about me being lazy sending off my film to be developed, is that I can sit and reminisce over memories I’ve made that have been captured on film forever. (thank you @thefilmsafe)

This year started off in the worst way, but I’ve still made some pretty magical memories & I’m feeling so grateful for all of it 🌞

The walking safari at @kneppwildland - and seeing wildlife I’d never seen before.

We camped, and I asked Dom if the bird sounds at night were real because I couldn’t believe how magical it sounded… he said “no it’s a speaker” as a joke, and I am the most gullible person ever because I truly believed it was too magical to be real. (Definitely wasn’t a speaker! It really is the most incredible sound in the world).

Can’t wait to someday go back here 🫶🏼
