People often ask me what I do, and the honest answer is… a little bit of everything!

I’m an author, freelance writer, childcare professional, hypnotherapist, coach and nutritional therapist. I’m passionate about helping others, learning new things and making the most of this one precious life.

At heart, I’m simply someone who loves people, stories, personal growth, travel, good food and meaningful conversations.

The older I get, the more I realise that we don’t have to fit neatly into one box. We can be many things at once.

🐾There’s something so special about the bond between a child and a dog, and since Stella bounced into our lives, we’ve been seeing the benefits for ourselves too!

She’s not only brought so much fun to the children but she’s got Paul and l outdoors every day, exploring our local parks, woodlands and lakes, reconnecting with nature and meeting people along the way. And Stella certainly knows how to make friends wherever she goes!

She inspired my new blog, “Why Every Child Needs a Dog”, where I share more about the benefits of children growing up with dogs and a little more about our own adventures with Stella.

As we celebrated 24 years of marriage with the most gorgeous meal at Miller & Carter I realised how lucky I am.

Yes, the scallops were divine, the lamb rump and dauphinoise potatoes were sublime, Paul’s T-bone was delicious, and the profiteroles and chocolate brownie at the end were such a lovely surprise. 🥂❤️

But tonight wasn’t really about the food.

After everything the last 18 months have brought us, this anniversary feels a little more special.

From the moment I was diagnosed with cancer, through chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and everything else that has come our way, @granty4ever1
Paul has been right there beside me.

He has held my hand, picked me up, made me laugh, looked after me, reassured me and loved me through some of the hardest days of my life.

And somehow, through all of it, we’ve become even stronger.

Twenty-four years ago I married my best friend. My twin flame. My soulmate. The love of my life.

And if I had to choose all over again, through every high, every low, every adventure and every challenge…

I’d still choose you. Every single time. ❤️

Happy 24th Anniversary, Paul.

I love you more than ever and after the last 18 months, I don’t think I’ll ever take another anniversary, another meal, another laugh or another ordinary day together for granted.

Here’s to us, to everything we’ve already lived, and to all the beautiful chapters still waiting for us. 🥂

We don’t get to choose everything that happens to us.

But we do get to choose what we do next.

Today, I chose movement.

One small step towards becoming stronger, healthier and more alive than ever before.
