Had an amazing night at the regional @royaltelevisionsociety awards. Our film @tenebrousfilm which I did the production design for won an award for best drama. I am so proud of how far our little film has come and the immense effort the whole team put in to make this happen. I got the pleasure of working with my closest friends and being able to celebrate this Awesome success with them made all the time and hard work worth it. Throwback to @thelongestdistancefilm 2023

For this film I designed a label for a record. I wanted to give it that vintage 1940s style and based it off the original you always hurt the ones you love record cover along with some other 40s style records. by @emilialester_

Here are some mood boards I created during pre-production for @thelongestdistancefilm. I was able to experiment and research Old WW2 foods for the picnic scenes along with cigarette packets and old letters to create props that would fit the era and be used throughout the film. I wanted it to be as historically accurate as I could be. In my next posts, you will see how my mood boards helped me to create the finished props. Cold short film 2023

Here’s a throwback to some design work I did earlier this year, on a small short film called Cold. I had to create a tween bedroom which proved to be quite difficult, as we were shooting in a very modern, and minimalist house. I had to be carful not to damage anything, but I knew I also needed to liven up the space and fill the wall, but with a small budget. We couldn’t wallpaper so I had the idea to add posters to the space. After browsing Pinterest I came up with the idea to make my own posters to fill the space and to avoid copyright. I think if I were to do it again I’d make the posters less uniformed and more random on the wall. I’m constantly learning and I feel like with each film I’m improving. Modern day films are something I find more difficult to design for but I feel like this was a great experience to add to my portfolio.
