1 year ago, this girl was cleared after having knee surgery! Can you see the pure joy and excitement!! It was the longest, hardest 6 months of her life! After dancing on the injury for 3 years, in horrible pain, finally she was ready to get back to her world, dance! To see the fight in this girl, to make a college dance team she had been dreaming of since 7th grade, only 6 months after clearance!! Nobody prepares us parents to let them go. This last week has been full of excitement, heartbreak and pure joy! My girl is chasing her dreams at her dream school, on an amazing team and with an incredible roommate! From orientation, to move in, to welcome event dancing for whole school and finally first day of classes! God has opened all of these doors through lots of trials to get her here! Even yesterday, God showed up in three seperate ways! Those nudges remind us that this is the path he chose for her! Is my heart broken that I am 1400 miles away, yes.
