AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT: EMILY💫

Meet Emily, a college sophomore at Graceland University, competing as an OB and Slot Receiver and living a college flag football journey she never expected when she first stepped onto the field. 🏈💗

Emily’s favorite part of flag football is the culture and the people:

“Everyone I have met in flag football has just felt like a family.”

And her path to becoming a college athlete makes her story even better. Fun fact: Emily didn’t start playing flag football until her senior year of high school—and she only tried it for fun! Fast-forward to today, and she’s a college flag football athlete who fell in love with the game. Sometimes you really don’t know where saying “yes” to something new might take you. ✨

When we asked Emily what BUILT FOR HER GAME means to her, her answer was simple and powerful:

“That we are changing the view of women’s sports and that women can play too.”

Emily’s story is such a great reminder for younger athletes that there is no single timeline for finding your game. You can discover something new, put in the work, and find yourself living a dream you didn’t even know you had.
Now, as a sophomore at Graceland, Emily is doing exactly that—and helping show what’s possible for the girls coming next. 💗🏈

l just want to thank God for putting me down this path even though I wanted to quit sports, I’m glad I didn’t and I’m glad I joined flag football this year! Next I want to thank my parents, siblings, and family for always being their at my games and taking me to practice and games. I also want to thank my teammates and coaches who have help me be the person and player I am today and give me the opportunity to play. Last I want to thank all of my friends who have supported me by showing up to games and buy and wearing my shirts. Love all of yall and can’t want to see what this next chapter in my life holds. With that I am excited to announce my commitment to Graceland University where I will continue my academic and athletic career. I will be studying forensic psychology and playing flag football as well as basketball. Go yellow jackets!!
