Happy Pride Month from Spa! 🙌🏼🏳️‍🌈🏆

Round 2 of @mclaren.customerracing Trophy Europe was a tough one, in car temps approaching 80 degrees (until we fixed the AC) were just the beginning 🥵

I teamed up with @emilydrivingthings for her first time at Spa and in the McLaren, also a new team and car with @niemannautosport 🤝🏼

The car felt mega on the circuit here, and I was fully dialled in for qualy with pole in class and P14 overall. Frustratingly a mistake and contact with the barrier early in race one at Eau Rouge (me) put us out of the race with only 2.5hrs to repair the car for Qualy 2 🤦🏼‍♀️

We all worked like mad to get the car out, an incredible effort where we moved a small mountain in 40 degree heat⛰️🔥

Challenging isn’t the word when I try to summarise the last few days. I feel bad that I let myself and the team down, but I equally feel like we achieved something pretty impressive together with very little time to prepare.

The parade into town for the 24hr celebration was also incredible, driving a race car on the road surrounded by fans the whole way, just wow 🤩

We came away from race 2 with a class win, and currently leading the Am class in the championship, so I’ve got to say a massive thanks to everyone for digging in and making this happen - can’t wait for Misano!! ❤️🙏🏼🤩

We were close. Sadly we missed the grid for Barcelona but the race is still on to make Portimão 💪🏼🏁

P2 in AM and P14 overall in race one! 💪🏼🏆 it’s hot in Misano, in-car temp was over 70 deg C and our engine was on the limit of overheating 🥵😵‍💫

We had to come in which put us 3 laps behind, but we kept pushing right up to the flag, great to come away with more points 👊🏼 #nevergiveup

The racing gods have already thrown a lot at us this weekend, missing most of FP1 due to a cracked radiator (I didn’t get to drive) at a track you’ve never driven is not ideal… mega job from the whole crew at @niemannautosport to keep us moving forwards.

It’s only our second weekend together and the guys and girls here give it everything 🙌🏼

Super happy to be racing with you all 🫶🏼 let’s do it again tomorrow! 😃🚀🏁
