t’s not real mom makeup unless you can do it with one hand.

Mom brain is so real, I find myself easily distracted from one task to another. Even while I edited this video I had several unfinished sentences 😅

Lists and my planner have become my best friends for helping me to stay on track. I always have 1 thing just for me on my to-do list so I don’t forget to take a break and do something for me.

Tonight we were supposed to be helping host worship night at church with Daniel.

But instead, Judah decided to skip most his naps today.

After feeling defeated trying for an hour to get him to sleep, I gave up, fed him dinner and started his normal bedtime routine and he went down for the night without a hitch (except for the poo in the tub 😵‍💫).

I came outside, set up the hammock, turned some worship music on, grabbed my Bible and journal and God met me right here.

Maybe this is what I needed more than going to meet God but allowing him to meet me. Here.
To remind me that this stage of my life is FULL of pressing and testing to bring out more of God’s character in my life.

It’s also lacking in the kind of quiet time with Jesus that I used to get frequently.
It just looks different now, God is meeting me in every moment. I just need to acknowledge him. by @emilyeholbrook
